Just what you would expect from Bowers & Wilkins. Very rich sound stage and midrange is perfect. I paired them with my Marantz av receiver and power amp. They didn’t miss a beat.

I listened to these speakers at the store because they were recommended by the salesperson. I'm glad I took her advice. The speakers sound great and fit right in with our décor. They should last for years.

Best bang for your buck if you want quality towers and overall fantastic. They handle highs and lows amazingly for their class. I personally like having the option to biwire the cables as well!

My existing speakers were high end but getting old, so we're replaced. The new ones are much more accurate & realistic for TV & movies, but really great for music.

This includes comments about a system purchase that the Bowers & Wilkins - 600 Series 683’s were part of. I don’t think either the sales person who came into my home to spec out the system or the installing technician were true audiophiles. Neither knew that the speakers were beyond the manufactures separation maximum and when I ask where the tuning baffles were they had to pull them out of the trash. The sub-woofer was installed in the entertainment center, where I requested, and is not correct place for it. It had to be put in sideways and there is only inches for clearance in the enclosure. Deep base is a rumble and ultra-low guitar frequencies sound like a drum. If I had known this I would not have requested this location for the sub-woofer. I expected the ‘sound’ and equipment experts to guide me. Per my request again the receiver was setup inside the entertainment center and will have to be moved to an open, no doors, bay so I can see the display for sound levels and sound mode. The Harmony Elite does not display unit information, I did not know this. The Harmony Elite was set up so the remote became a controller on startup of the Wii U. This takes a controller spot and the remote is not a proper device for games. I disabled it. For a 6k system price tag I expected a lot more performance after installation by Best Buy. Given time and my own personal adjustments/equipment relocation/fine tuning I am certain I’ll have the system I envisioned.

Upgraded from 17-year-old Definitive Technology Speakers. Nice step up from large bookshelf speakers.

The B&W 683 S2 speakers have phenomenal sound quality, outperforming more expensive speakers from other manufacturers.

These are best full frequency range speakers at this price point, although do not go that low at the bottom but most music I listen does not go that low (I use them mostly for stereo music listening). Well top to bottom cohesion, good soundstage, excellent mid range and highs. Bottom base is taught as well. Will give run for money to any competitor brand.
