They seem expensive but these speakers are very clear and sound fantastic just by themselves. I did hook up a subwoofer but there is no need for any other speakers.

I have tried a number of different speakers, sound bars, etc. but it wasn't until l purchased Bowers and Wilkins speakers did I finally admit...Excellent speakers really DO make a difference. The extra expense was well worth the improved quality of my sounds system! I am very very happy with my purchase and send my thanks to the Glendora Associates who helped me select them!

These speakers sound amazing and r crystal clear even at high volume! I don’t really like the speaker stands they can easily fall off! My gaven’t Yet but my fingers r crossed cause these r my babies lol

My fiance and I bought these speakers as a joint christmas present to ourselves last year and are very happy with our decision! We were also considering the Martin Logan Motion 4 but preferred the richness and power of the B&W 685s. We look forward to building our sound system over the next few years and these speakers are a great starting point.

The name it self says a lot about this product. Even though it is not one of the higher end models the detail sound you get is fenomenal. Depending on the type of music you listen to, you might need a subwoofer. I mean it’s always good to have a sub to get those deeper sounds that these speakers can’t get much of.

I was comparison shopping for speakers, and after reading so many good reviews, I decided to give them a try. WOW, what a difference they made for both music, and movies. i have them paired with a B&W sub, and I am so impressed with the sound quality, I plan to add a center, and surrounds from them as well.

These speakers work wonderfully in my home theater set-up. I am using them with a CM center that I got last year and another pair of the 685 that I bought earlier. They work well together to provide pleasing audio for both movies and music. I couldn't be more pleased.

So I've listened to these before and love the value for what you get. Buying them at a discount was good luck. If you get the chance to own a pair you'll be happy with the sound they make provided you power these with the right amp and cables.

Have had these about a month now, so they're broken in well. Happy with the sound, but I will have to admit they sounded better in the store. I think my Onkyo 7.2 amp isn't up to driving these as they need to be driven. When I do crank up the volume, though, the sound is excellent. But for normal listening, the high volume level required to get these sounding great is too high for my tastes... Going to look at investing in a better amp so I can take bigger advantage of these. Look and quality is very nice. Would definitely recommend this to others.

Sound out of these speakers is quite accurate and incredible. Building an entry level turntable setup and these were the perfect accompaniment for my system add the sun and it is quite impressive. Enjoy!

Had a great magnolia expert help he with a sound test. I had already heard these elsewhere and they do sound great in the right environment. Only downside was the B&W stands were not in stock otherwise I would have purchased them here as well.

This is a fantastic speaker, and if you can purchase it as an open box item, it is a wonderful value. This speaker has a very nice balance of warmth and clarity, and it's excellent for both music and home theater.

I like these stands because they are sturdy. They include two types of feet to accommodate hardwood or carpet flooring. If you have small children or large animals you may have to figure a way to mount the speakers to the stands.
