If you're planning to utilize the full copacetic of your receiver, you'll never be disappointed with B&W speakers. I prefer quality over quantity, unfortunately that means less bang for your buck. But it's worth the extra money.

If you’re trying to get a better sound system for your home, these are definitely a huge step towards quality over quantity. I use these for my front left and right speakers and have a 5.1 system to compliment it, but the range and clarity of these speakers definitely drive the best sounds for my system. You can do better with the higher end options, but for someone just starting to get a nicer system, these are a great option.

These speakers are perfect for your home theater system. I was looking for speakers that I could enjoy both movies and music and I will say that the 685 S2 deliver on both. Perfect with the HTM61 and the M1

Haven't broken them in yet. However they sound wonderful. B&W are speakers are crystal clear high quality speakers. Can't wait to crank up the volume for full effect. They sound a good or better then many floor standing speakers.

The speakers have a great soun dand range. Easy to install.

This is my first mid range speaker in terms of price. Sound is very crisp and clear. Now I need to augment the system with a good subwoofer and receiver.

Can't beat how much sound you get for the price, I also own 683 s2s and these for the price range come very close. I use them as studio monitors and are very impressed with the sound quality.

These set of speakers are amazing, the sound is incredible. Researched quite a bit and wanted quality and they don't disappoint. Listening to music is a pleasure again.!

Good sound quality but not very much power outputs

Have the hooked up to an NAD C356bee, 55"samsung, and a mac mini. Haven't even found it necessary to hook up my sub. Though of course i will anyways soon enough.

These sound excellent. Mostly used for movies in my setup but also sound great with music. Very solid all around performer for my needs and price point.

I was looking at other speakers and just happened to hear these. Wow the sound quality is Really good. I will follow up later after more use.

These speakers are terrific. I loved the sound when I was looking at speakers in the Magnolia theater, and they sound just as good at home.

I purchased these B&W speakers from Best Buy mainly to listen to high quality FLAC encoded music and sounds awesome! Combined gem with an 10" subwoofer to bring a strong bass presence but I ALSO enjoy listening to certain music without any sub and just the two channels. I'm not a music officiant so no technical terms here but I will say that I am hearing WAY more of my music now and enjoying every minute with these!
