Lasted only 7 years

Blew two fuses in a minute, with large popping sound, and smoke from back of speaker. This is unfortunate since I am committed to a B & W. I have their 700 series which is going strong after 25 years.

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've owned this for 8 months. It puts out super low bass and is incredible with Movies and Music. I need to upgrade my center and fronts to accomodate the quality of this B&W sub. My living area is 15'x18' and there is no problem delivering extreme power with the setting only at 30%. I've never pushed it past 50%, since its already so powerful. Worth the price.

Unbelievably clear base.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Without any exaggeration, I have not turned this thing over 15% of its potential and it produces more base and much crisper than my 12" Acoustic Audio sub that burned out. This is paired with my Onkyo TX-646. Hidden behind a bookshelf it surprised all my guests where the source of the Earth Quake was.

I have now the perfect home theater
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have B and W 804 Towers and center speaker plus this nice low profile sub-woofer with Bose rear speakers and 8 foot screen and 1080p projector for perfect home theater. There is nothing as good as the B and W sound for the money....amplifier is Pioneer Elite.

Great sub!

It is astonishing to me how much punch and low bass this 8" subwoofer puts out. Definitely the best 8" subwoofer I've come across.

Only good for very small rooms or with bookshelfs
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I tried to use this with floor standers and it sounded very weak both in terms of sound and also frequencies (i.e. it was almost sounding like a speaker..not a sub-woofer). I since bought the ASW610 and am quite happy with that one...will post a review on that soon.
