Excellent speakers!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Got these speakers as an open box. Used them first with an old Onkyo surround receiver. They sounded quite good, especially when paired with my BIC F12 subwoofer. Mid range and bass were crisp and clear. Classical and Jazz music were reproduced faithfully with a 3D soundstage. However, high frequency stuff like cymbals etc. sounded just a bit strained. Not bad at all but a bit bright. This observation has been reported in other reviews on the web, especially for metal music. When I replaced the Onkyo receiver with a vintage NAD 2400 amplifier and 1300 pre amp, this all went away. These speakers need a really quality stereo amp/receiver to fulfill their potential. With the current setup of the CM1s, NAD components, and the BIC F12 sub, I am in music heaven. The speakers are really amazing and I am loving them!

Not the Best Buy on B&W Speakers
