Bowers Wilkinson quality is not as good as it use to be. I own a few of there products. I will say the build quality is good, for over $300 you buy buy plenty others that sound better.

Long gone are the days of just plugging your headphones in and enjoying them. Now you have to download an app and create a login to control them. The Bowers & Wilkins PX7 S2’s are no different.
Comfort: At just over 10 ounces (307 grams), the S2’s are the most comfortable set of over the ear headphones I have. The clamping pressure against my ears is just enough to make a solid seal from the memory foam ear pads. Wearing them for several hours at a time in my office, it's easy to forget you're wearing them.
Connectivity: The PX7 S2’s connect via Bluetooth as well as hard wire via the USB-C port and included 3.5mm to USB-C and USB-C to USB=C cables. The S2’s can connect to two Bluetooth devices at the same time however you can only listen to one at a time. I really like that you can add and juggle devices by using the app. Connecting them to my devices was quick and painless. One thing to note is that while the S2’s can be used by connecting with the 3.5mm jack they do need to be powered on. There is no passive connectivity.
This also presented another issue/inconvenience - when directly connected, unless you disconnect your Bluetooth connections, notices and alerts that appear on your phone if connected do interrupt the sound from the direct connection. This also happened when listing to music from my phone and also connected to my laptop - any sound coming from the laptop played but also caused the music from my phone to pause and not resume. At least when playing from the wired connection the source didn't stop.
Battery:The battery life is rated at 30 hours and a 15 minute quick charge will get you an additional 7 hours of usage. I’m able to get 3-4 days between charges with moderate usage during my commute and teams meetings throughout the day. Charging is done via USB-C and a full charge takes about two hours.
App: The PX7 S2’s pair with the Bowers & Wilkins Music app. As I mentioned previously the app allows you to connect to additional Bluetooth sources - something I really like!. You can adjust treble and bass and see the remaining battery life. I would have liked a more personalized sound setting - other headphones I have offer a hearing test and adapt their sound to your specific hearing.
Sound: I really like how the S2’s sound. Trebles are sparkling and bright and bass is strong. I like a heavier bass and the S2’s deliver on it. Vocals sound amazing especially those with an upper register. The app has a sound setting however you only have adjustment for bass and treble. The soundstage is immersive and realistic. Overall, these sound like the premium headphones that they are. You can also use the S2’s for your phone calls. They sound great on both ends. The person on the other end of the call pretty much only hears your voice with very little bleed through of external sounds.
Noise Canceling: I found the noise canceling to be adequate for my subway commute, idle conversations and tunnel roar were muted nicely. There is a transparency mode that allows you to hear things around you. I found this not as effective as other headphones I have however I was able to have a conversation without issue.
The B&W PX7 S2’s come with a nice zipper case that has a nice cable holder. The headphones do not fold however the ear cups spin to lay flat in the case.
Overall I am really impressed with these headphones and they have become my new go to. I give them 5 stars and highly recommend them to anyone looking for decent premium headphones.

Great sounding headphones

These are a solid sounding pair of headphones. Just an overall rich sound to them. However, there are some other things that can be worked on and why I am giving it a 4 star.
It comes with a 3.5mm headphone cord. Great idea, however, it uses the usb-c plug on the headset. This means you can't use that and charge at the same time. It also requires the headphones to be turned on as well. I would have liked too just see another port on the headset that is a 3.5mm jack that you can plug in.
The charging cord, I am glad to see that it is a usb-c on the headphones. However, the other end is also a usb-c. Not that I care too much, but a lot of things are still a usb-a on the plug side. I feel they should have provided a plug adaptor or just gone with a usb-a for plug side.
The lifting to mute is a nice future to have, but I feel a lot of times it does not work well. I have to really lift the headphones at times to work. And this is with it on the highest setting. Other times I feel I barely lift, and they work.
The app only allows you to adjust treble and bass as for the sounds. Not that its needed but would have been nice to be able to adjust a bit more.
The case is designed for the headphones to not be adjusted to fit. So, every time I pull the headphones out, I have to adjust them. Sadly, there is no markings for adjusting. Then when I am done using, I have to un adjust the headphones to put them back in the case.
The button layout. I am not used to it being on the right side. Almost all the headphones/headsets I have used, if not all of them, the buttons are mostly on the left side. I also feel like they are down a bit more. With these, I feel like when I use the lift to mute or just lift them to move off ear, I feel like I hit the buttons.
Lastly, the name on the headphone cups. I would have rather just have it across the headband. Or maybe even some logo or initials like B&W and have that on the arm piece were the headphones adjust at.
But those are small things and probably personal things. And the biggest factor for me is Sound, Noise Cancelling and Comfort.
Once adjusted, these feel great, and I can wear them for hours. They have a tight fit, so they don't move around, and yet s till comfortable to wear.
I ride a bus to and from work, and yes, I can still hear the bus sound, however, not loud and with music or movies playing, can't hear the bus at all. This is similar to other brands I have used as well. These seem to do a pretty good job with keeping noise out. The pass thru selected noise also works great when music is not playing. But when I pause the music, I can hear everyone talking and all the other noises going on. But when I play music, I don't hear all the noises as good. I like this, so if someone comes up and wants to talk, I just pause music, leave the headphones on and they can talk.
The lift and mute, like I said before, but when it does work, it could be a great future. I personally just find myself stopping the music and then if I have the noise cancelling selected, I will move the earcup off my ear. But like I said, the thought was neat and hopefully the get it to work great.
Lastly, Sound. I feel like these are the best sounding headphones I have used so far. I think they just have an overall great sound. Not too much bass but does have some bass. Just an overall rich sound feeling to them.
Battery life seems pretty good as well. I wear them about an hour in the morning, hour for lunch, and hour afternoon, 5 days a week and think they got down to 50 percent or so.
If you are looking for a good sounding, noise cancelling, and comfortable headphones, then I would suggest these headphones. They do not disappoint.

These will be my next pair of headphones for a good while. They sound great, look good, are comfortable, and easy to control.
My immediate impression while trying these on were that they were extremely comfortable but also felt very snug on my head. The cushioning surrounded my ears and closed off the outside noise.
As I paired them to my phone, turned them on, downloaded the app, and played some music, I was very happy with the sound. The default sound signature didn't tailor to a heavy bass and it was also crispy clear. I also have the option to customize the sound signature if I wanted more bass which I tried at the highest possible configuration and it definitely bumps without distortion at the right volume.
The headphones do get very loud at the highest volume. I used them mostly at 75% volume which is where I found the sweet spot for great sound and noise cancelation to completely tune out of the outside noise.
The automatic pause and play feature by lifting an ear cup also worked everytime. I did have to adjust the sensitivity to the highest it could go but it worked perfectly every time.
The physical buttons to control the headphones are very clicky and are very pronounced so it's easy to control. I never had an issue finding the right button I was looking for or missing presses.
The headphones also look awesome. They are all black with metal trim and white lettering. They do have a premium feel and look.
The battery life is exactly in competition with other similar headphones in this space and as long as the battery and software updates hold up, this will be my favorite pair and go to headphones for a long time.

The new B&W Px7 S2 cans can compete with any brand on the market today when it comes to pure fidelity, I have been extremely pleased with my new set since they arrived and I have hardly taken them off of my head. The active noise cancellation works very well and I would say as good as any other competitors as I have both Sony and Bose sets to compare them against. B&W has added new 40mm drivers and I think they have been matched perfectly and deliver a high quality & very crisp sound that does not really seem to lack on any end with the possible exception of a tiny bit of distortion when there is too much bass, but depends on the track. The single thing that I am most impressed with is the fact that these cans are soo extremely comfortable on my head, I have never ever had a pair that at some point I did not begin to feel that they were either too tight or stiff or not fitting around my ear but I literally can wear these for hours on end & never once have a single complaint. The other great feature is the fact that battery life is simply excellent and once it does need recharging it does not take hours away from use to reach full charge again. I would absolutely reccommend these to anyone I know and will be buying another pair for use at work.

Have you ever stayed at a hotel or eaten at a restaurant that just feels too nice, to the point where you don't feel like you belong there?
The Bowers & Wilkins Px7 S2 headphones are really, really nice...perfect in some ways it seems...with only a few very minor drawbacks in form and function. These are everything I expect from premium consumer headphones, and may just unseat my favorite headphones of all time.
Because so much of this product is good or great, I'm going to start this review with the bad. Not suprisingly, the app needs some work (it's rare to find a "good" companion app for headphones in my experience). Every time the headphones pair, the app launches, which makes for a not-so-seamless experience using whatever it is you're using when you power these on. The app itself has some very basic EQ settings, but I'd love to be able to further tailor my listening experience. The app does so little for the listening experience that I'd suggest you not download it at all, if not for needing periodic firmware updates on the headphones.
Next: I appreciate that these headphones can be used both wired and wireless, for those folks out there with external DACs who want to take full advantage of these. However, the only port available on these is the USB-C port, so using them wired requires they be powered on. It's not ideal, but considering I very rarely use wired connections anymore, it's not that big of a deal breaker for me.
Finally, there's the size, weight and fit. My current favorite headphones are the Sony WH-1000XM4, and a big selling point of those headphones is that they are extremely light weight (without feeling cheap), they fold up into a pretty small case, and I can wear them for what feels like days without discomfort. The Px7 S2, by contrast, are heavy. It's not so heavy that it's a problem, and I'd argue that their heft suggests a durability that perhaps the XM4 headphones don't have, but it's still worth noting. The clamping force on these right out of the box is anything but trivial, I'll chalk that up to having a big head. And while the ear cups rotate both directions to allow the headphones to sit flat, they still don't fold into as compact of a package.
Keep in mind--I know these are very nit-picky, and if you've made it this far and you're still interested, it's smooth sailing from here.
Regarding what I expect out of a pair of premium headphones: great design, great build, premium materials, soft ear cups...there don't seem to be any shortcuts on the quality of the product. The sound is solid at all frequencies, and these headphones are just as good for music as they are for movie consumption (note: I wouldn't mind compatibility with Apple's spatial audio, but I recognize that's a very specific ask). There are physical buttons on the cups that are clicky, simple to operate, and easy to understand; no touch controls here, which is a nice change.
The noise canceling, as far as I can tell, is second to none. Still, the WH1000XM4 and Apple's Airpod Pro seem to be my personal "front runners" when it comes to noise canceling, but B&W take it to another level with these headphones. The exterior mics are also incredible, as I was able to use these for conference calls without the other party missing what I heard or complaining about the connection or sound quality. These are hands down some of the best (if not THE best) headphones for phone calls that I've used.
The catch, of course, is the price tag: $400. They are without a doubt better headphones than the XM4s from Sony (with a couple of caveats based on personal preference), and because of that they are my new favorite headphones. But $400 is a lot to swallow for a pair of headphones--maybe justifiable if you use them all the time, for work and play, but as time goes on it's becoming harder and harder to make outright bad headphones when you're charging at least $200 for them. These are slick, sleek and they sound great, and if you can overcome a high price tag, you will not be dissatisfied.

I may have been living under a rock because I had never heard of this brand before. I can admit that I wasn’t expecting to be overly impressed with these headphones but I was wrong. Not only do they sound amazing but they are probably the most comfortable headphones I have ever used. I honestly thought I had found my holy grail noise canceling over the ear headphones long ago but I haven’t given them a second glance since the day that I received these. The sound is crisp and next level so they will satisfy the hardcore audiophile as well as the regular music lover with ease. The noise canceling feature works very well and will fit the needs of most users. They do include a transparency mode that has become pretty standard for most noise canceling headphones now and it too works as expected. The app works but it’s pretty basic. I would love to see future updates that makes the app a better experience and gives the user a bit more control. They are decently lightweight….heavier than some others I have used but not in any significant way. Battery life is on par with others I have used and loved so you won’t have to worry about needing to recharge quickly. Overall these are definitely worth considering if you’re looking for a top tier quality sound in an over the ear design…even with the hefty price tag.

The Bowers & Wilkins PX7 S@ wireless active noise cancelling headphones have been a pleasure to use. The sound is great, decent noise cancelling, and the battery life is awesome. There are some drawbacks that I have experienced though.
Pros:
- Clear bass, mids, and highs
- App support w/EQ adjustment
- Great battery life
- Buttons are great
- Comfortable for long listening sessions
- USB C charging/3.5mm output
- Durable carrying case
- Multi connectivity
Cons:
- Auto pause function does not always work (had to power cycle headset multiple times)
- Not made for the gym
- Noise Cancellation is not the best out there
Conclusion:
Overall, the Bowers & Wilkins Px7 S2 wireless active noise cancelling headphones are great. The noise cancellation is not the best that I've heard, but for most people it will suffice. I do wish it had the option to purchase ear cups that were made for the gym. I kept having to take them off to wipe them down while using them to workout. Other than that, I can definitely recommend these to anyone looking for something other than Sony or Bose.

I bought beats studio3, Sony Mx5, Sennheiser Momentum 4 and B&W Px7 S2 to compare all of them.
Well, the beats are a joke when it comes to construction and sound quality. They allow you to hear some orchestrated noise but definitely not music. Beats do not compete at all with all 3 headphones.
The Sonys feel cheap but deliver a clearer sound and have good bass response. Overall they sound more balanced but they don't really compete with Momentum 4 and B&W which are at very different level with a charm of their own when it comes to sound quality.
Both headphones maintain a good balance between fun and detailed. They have the most natural and refined sound in while still giving you a bass response to smile about. And like other reviewers said, the Px7 S2 made me hear details I've never heard before.
I returned the beats and the Sonys and I will keep Sennheiser and B&W because it is really hard to choose between the two of them :)

Love my headphones, they are truly noise canceling. I used them to mow the lawn and did not hear the motor. The only bad part is you will be sacrificing looks for functionality. If you want headphones for status buy beats if you want good quality buy this.

I boughy these to possibly be replacements for my Sennheiser Monemtum 2 headphones, though i was skeptical that they could be dethroned. I was wrong to doubt! The sound is rich and complex, letting you truly experience the music. The mids are a little, well…mid, but the lows are impressive as they don’t drown out lyrics or background layers. The ANC is surprisingly good, though a noticeable step down from that of Bose or Sony. Haven’t tested on calls yet, but frankly thats not why I buy headphones. I buy them to be as immersed in my media as possible, and this brings me directly into whatver I’m consuming. Build quality and presentation are also on a higher level than other sets as well. These look, feel, and sound beautiful.

These headphones are nothing special, i had them for about 6 months and sold them. The noise cancellation was not good and the sound was alright. Honestly i would go for the apple max or the sony xm series. I had both and prefer them much more than these.
