The shredder teeth are good and sharp and work as advertised--on the manual feed side. The auto feed path pretty much jams continuously and seems to only handle uniform sized (and thickness) sheets of paper. A stack of (variable sized) bills or throwing a few thin sheets like receipts or duplicates is pretty much a guarantee to jam. Also, even when all sheets are identical, it will attempt to shred the last 5 to 10 sheets simultaneously. The jams can be cleared by taking the shredder apart (the feed path is too narrow for fingers or tools) according to other reviewers. I bought this because I was tired of my basic shredder overheating and shutting down because it was too hot. We had to shred a lot of old tax returns, checks, and financial documents for my dad’s estate. It was great to be able to take a stack of checks/papers and place in the feeder and let the shredder do its thing. Excellent purchase
