I purchased this mount to use in my truck. I have a "very" smooth plastic surface in the area where I wanted to locate my phone while driving. My old mount, that was pretty much just like this product in form and function, would not stick to the smooth surface... This product seems to be sticking well after a couple weeks of use... I believe the difference between the two products was in the amount of suction that was generated when you deployed the lever... The new unit seemed to have more suction, and therefore adhesion...

No specific car dock available for my Samsung S5 and I've had dozens of other universal car docks. All have broken and none were exceptionally well made, so....I opted for the magnetic feature to give it a try and I am pleasantly surprised. The magnet is just a little weak as I notice slight shifts from the magnetic "Polarity". only when I rotate the phone from portrait to landscape view but the bottom supports do an adequate job of keeping it docked. Overall a good product. the little supports could be a bit more stout for bigger phones like the S5 and rare earth magnets would likely provide an even better, more secure, attachment.. For that reason alone not a 5 star. I think it will last for quite some time. An added plus is the additional plate to insert in my wife's phone so she can use the dock as well.

Easy to use and Mount. No stupid clips to mess with yet it holds securely.

I wanted something simple and effective to hold my smartphone on my dashboard. This is one of those magnet mounts and I found it worked pretty well with only a few bumps (literally) knocking the phone free. Exactly what I wanted.

Magnet is very strong so holds my phone perfectly and is easy to attach and remove and allows me to use my GPS or answer calls using my bluetooth with ease. You do have to be careful on hot days as the holder and your phone can get hot on your dash.

I bought this item after researching and reading some reviews here on Bestbuy.com. It does seem to be one of the better car mounts available overall. Not cheap but it does not feel cheaply made either. Setup is easy - just put the magnet plate under phone case, attach mount to the dash and it is all done. Holds my Galaxy S5 quite good. It did fall on me once (after sitting in a hot car for a while) and it will probably happen again here and there but i can live with that...

This product is sturdy, easy to install, and is hassle free use day to day.

Because I use an app on my phone for directions, this product is a great help. It prevents me from having to look down at my phone when I am driving. So not only does it keep me safer, it helps get me to my destination. I never have any issues with my phone not staying in place. The only issue that I have is when it gets really hot and muggy outside, I will find the mount in my floorboard, but it attaches right back to my dashboard and we are good to go again.

Magnets. Thought it would affect (damage, magnetize, whatever) my cell phone. Has not. Took a little effort to get all the pieces in the right places, but once there, works quite well.

I bought this item to mount on the dashboard in my vehicle. It stays where it was placed without a problem. It holds my phone in place for use as a GPS or for hands free phone calls.

I just bought a new car and I wanted something that was sturdy enough to hold my Note 4 and still look good too. I must say, I like this one. Overall, it is sturdy and feels good.

I have had a couple dash mounts in the past, one that bracketed into the A/C vent and another that was "supposed" to suction to my dashboard...neither worked very well. The bracketon, which utilizes a magnet to attach phone to the dash mount works like a dream, it suctions very well to my textured and rounded dashboard! It is awesome!

good dash mount. I like the magnet I am not worried about my phone falling off. The only down side that guests can't use it if they don't have a magnet attached to their phone.

Very good. The magnet is pretty strong and holds an HTC One M8 in the sideways position. Never fell off even on the hardest bumps. No problems with the suction cup attaching to the windshield either.

I LOVE THIS PRODUCT! Now, I know exactly where my phone is when I am in the car and I can charge it without it flying all over the dashboard. Easy to use - includes magnets in two sizes to use with or without the included adhesive pads. It swivels nicely and can be positioned in landscape or portrait position. I have it attached to my dash and it has only come off once when my car sat in the hot sun all day and I forgot to put up my windshield shade.

This is the dash mount to buy. It stays in place, Holds my cell phone and makes it very convenient to work with. I would frecommend this to everyone who wants a great hands free experience.

Purchased this to hold my Samsung Note 4 while riding my V Twin motorcycle, I was concerned that the phone wouldn't stay put because of the vibration of the 1800cc V Twin motor and just a magnet holding it on. The first ride I took was over 800 miles on all kinds of roads and the phone stayed where I put it and it's easy to remove by just picking it up when I stop. Definitely worth the money!

I have a 2 hr commute every day and so having a place where I can put my phone and see my directions or my audible app or whatever is really important so I'm not messing with my phone while I'm driving. Especially since my car is a stick shift. I have broken about 5 dash mounts in the last 2 years and this is the first one that has worked for more than a month. Because it doesn't have a claw/pincher function or little springs there isn't anything to break and the magnet is very secure. I have an LG G3 with a case and I have had no problems with the dash mount, my phone's functioning or otherwise.

Holds my iPhone 6s Plus in place, no problem. I love having it and use it often when I need to follow directions. Much prefer to vent clip variety.
