good quality, perfect fit for my Garmin 2589 LMT . I did research on the various types of dash mounts available, including research on Amazon, and one review I read mentioned buying a dash mount from Best Buy. This platform is a 'perfect fit' for the recessed dash tray in my 06 Ford Explorer. It doesn't move or shift position, even when turning. The Garmin 2589 windshield suction cup mount also fits perfectly on this unit's surface. I'm pleased with this device because of the quality and 'fit' for my vehicle.

I bought this to hold a new Magellabn GPS . I used it for a trip from the DC area to Chicago, IL and back. I was driving alone and needed my GPS where I could read it and reach it while driving. It was very stable on my uneven dashboard (2008 Camry). The mount stuck to the dash board, and the suction cup of the GPS stuck to the base plate on the mount reliably. Neither component ever slid or fell off. I thought it would be too big to put it all (the GPS and the mount as one piece) in my glove compartment when not in use, but it wasn't. I thought this was a little pricey when I bought it, and I was skeptical about how stable it could be, but it never failed over many miles. The Magellan GPS worked great too.

made of good quality and the product does not move when laid down. even hitting a bump the product stays in place as does my navigator.

This is a good unit to have for your GPS in a truck or other vehicle. It works well, unless you take a sharp and fast corner, and there are no tell tale GPS marks left on the windshield (which thieves look for).

Bought this to use in a Ford edge. My edge has a slanted dash so it doesnt stay in place really well ,but if you have a flat dash it works great.

As long as you drive without making turns this GPS mount is fine. Making left or right turns causes the mount to slide around. Sudden stops or starts will make it fly off. It is easy to use and makes moving the GPS between vehicles very easy. Just understand its limits.

The product is well made and holds my GPS. But it didn't do what it is advertised to do, hold the GPS in one place. When placed on the dash of my vehicle, a Chevy Silverado, every time I turned a corner at any speed in excess of 5mph the unit moved left or right. It didn't slide across the dash but it moved an inch or two. I think this is one product that you have to try yourself in your vehicle. It may work well depending on the contour of your dash. In my case it didn't work and was returned.

Just purchased for my new truck - it fits on top of the dash and looks great.

Does the job it's intended, even sits on a sloped dash without moving. Drove 2600 miles and it never moved.

Would recommend this dash mount. Didn't want to clip on to my window so thought this would be better for me and it is.

It's heavy but the GPS still shakes while driving.

I really like this garmin holder, It's the perfect size for my dash, and also fits right in my storage compartment.

Good unit to be able to leave attached to my GPS and transfer in and out of car without detaching. No hassel, set on dash and get rolling.

This item replaced the windshield mounted one. This item fits in my F150 dash tray. I no longer have it falling off of the windshield, or in my way. This is the perfect solution for it, and it is heavy enough that it does not move around.

No complaints. It works just fine, though it's not exactly small. No complaints, though.

This item is heavy enough to ensure a stable mount. My Magellan GPS with 7" screen stays put with this heavy weight mount. I bought it at the best time, the item was on sale for $20.99, great buy at Best Buy.

I had a round style dash mount for my old GPS. This rectangular unit looks much better and stores easier in the storage compartments of the SUV.

easily slides forward / off dash with sudden stop. Suction does not adhere to it very well. Still...better than nothing. A better style cold be designed

This seemed like a good choice based on the description and the weight, but it doesn't do what it said it would. The description said that it would conform to any dash, but it doesn't. It just stays flat, and doesn't keep the GPS stable at all. Yes, it sticks, but it's not stable, which is obviously important.

Most likely it's not the best base for my dash. It has bounced off on occasion on bumpy terrain.
