Flawed, but intriguing film. Average looking disc.

Really interesting film with a fantastic premise. It doesn't quite live up to its potential, but it's well-worth seeing.
The blu-ray presentation is a mixed bag: it has the shifting aspect rations that the director wanted (window boxed image for most scenes, wide screen for the scenes using the machine) but it's fairly soft over all, especially on the window-boxed scenes.
This could have been a truly great film, but even with its flaws, I enjoy it.
