I purchased the Breville Barista Touch about five years ago, which easily paid for itself within a year, saving me time, money, and fuel going to Starbucks/Peet's four or five times per week. It was one of the best appliance purchases I have ever made, producing barista quality lattes at a fraction of the retail price. After purchasing the Barista Touch Impress, I gave the still perfectly working after all these years due to high quality Barista Touch to a friend who similarly does the coffee run a few times a week. Now they don't have to.
It takes a few times to get the hang of it, but the "Impress" part of the machine is truly a game changer. It's not clear in the instructions, but basically all you have to do is start with the base settings of the grind and quantity of time that it grinds. You pull the lever twice as indicated and if the display shows "a bit more" then you select that and pull the lever twice again. Once it is at the proper height, you will see the green check mark. You're then done with tamping and can proceed to brew! It actually learns and adjusts the timing based on the previous grind but things can vary so sometimes you will get a perfect measure and other times you will have to add until you get the check mark.
The other thing I love is there is the work area is taller so whereas I used to have to angle my cup to get under the portafilter, I can now just slide it in. So bravo to Breville for building a new and improved machine. It even foams better than the old Barista Touch. This is a winner as well as all of the other great high quality Breville products!

The Breville Barista Touch Impress is expensive, but it delivers. It’s built for people who want café-quality drinks at home without dealing with complex machines.
The touchscreen is fast and intuitive, guiding you through drinks and settings with zero guesswork. The Impress system (auto-dosing and assisted tamping) keeps shots consistent and reduces mess. The ThermoJet system heats up in seconds, which makes a real difference in daily use.

This machine is so easy to use and clean, I wish I bought one years ago.
We use it at least once every day and sometimes up to 4 or 5 times a day.
Build quality is amazing.
This and our Breville steak maker are the best purchases we've made.

Love the Breville - Barista Touch Impress Espresso Machine. It is very easy to use and makes wonderful coffee. The various options are great and the machine makes it easy to make coffee, tea and frothed milk. It is easy to load the beans, fill the water and empty the water deposit area.
Only negative is some taller coffee cups don't fit under the drip. But the machine overall fits great under the cabinet.

I just bought the Breville Barista, and it already feels like a game-changer for my morning coffee routine. The build quality is solid and stylish, with that professional café look that really elevates the kitchen.
Setup was straightforward, and I love that it has everything built in—the grinder, steam wand, and brewing system—so I don’t need multiple machines. The grinder is precise, and it makes a noticeable difference in freshness compared to pre-ground coffee.
My first few cups have been rich, smooth, and full of flavor. The steam wand creates great microfoam, so lattes and cappuccinos come out like café drinks. It does take a little practice to dial in the grind size and pressure, but that’s part of the fun of having a semi-automatic machine.
So far, I’m really impressed. It’s not just convenient—it makes coffee that actually feels special. I’m excited to keep experimenting and perfecting my barista skills at home.

Our old espresso machine died abruptly, leaving us scrambling for a replacement to avoid paying $13-15 a day at coffee shops (my wife and I each drink a latte a day).
We splurged a bit on this one, but so worth it. The machine literally learns your preferences, meaning you get a consistent drink every time. And it pretty much does everything for you, which after setting my barista ego aside, is a good thing. And in buying from Best Buy, with their rock solid protection plan, there's no worries about this pricey machine going bad prematurely. Highly recommend.

Great machine! Can be used as an almost super automatic that produces far better coffee, or you can use it manually and get better-than-barista quality coffee! It is very user friendly and not intimidating when approaching. I have gotten a few people to use it and they all have enjoyed it as well.

Excellent machine! The Breville Barista Express is a game-changer for coffee lovers! With its compact design, built-in grinder, and easy-to-use interface, it's perfect for beginners and pros alike. The espresso shots are consistently excellent, and the steam wand froths milk to perfection. A solid investment for any coffee enthusiast
Not a coffee drinker but I sure love this product!

Purchased at a low savings price prior to the holidays. The ease of the press and digital guidance takes the guess work from having to manually press the grinds. I enjoy making the wife her coffee in the mornings.

What an amazing piece of equipment. We bought this on sale at a great price and for the convenience. That said, there is still a learning curve and good PM is a must. The highlight of my morning is a great cup of espresso.

My wife and I absolutely love our Breville Touch Impress. It has been a fun learning process getting the hang of it, and while it definitely takes more time than a standard coffee machine, the results are well worth it. The coffee comes out rich, smooth, and café-quality every time. It makes the whole process feel more intentional and enjoyable, and we appreciate the craftsmanship that goes into each cup. If you’re looking for convenience alone, this isn’t the same as a push-button drip machine—but if you value quality and the experience of making a great coffee, this machine delivers.

Was glad I was able to get a good touch and feel of the product prior to buying it in store.
The experience as a beginner is made smoother by the faster heating coil, the built in guide to when the grinding is over fine or too coarse, built in tamper. The touch screen is no slacker - it also keeps up well with the rest of the product. It handles different milk types, levels of frothiness on its own.
Reading comments from people learning the ropes makes one realize how much beginners would struggle without the "Impress" features. I'm glad I went with this, as a younger person I might enjoyed the challenge of drinking "learner's espresso".
Now just need to figure out how to keep the daily coffee consumption to a reasonable level.

The first one I had must have been a lemon because it wouldnt grind or anything without making an awful noise.
But this new one has been great its a two touch forget type of thing and I love it

I didn't explore all the functions, but tamping lever with dosing level check is helpful and consistent with same bean. You have to spend some bean to optimize it, but espresso is good and worth. Moved from fully automatic and much more satisfied for the coffee quality.
The only problem is water dispense. After factory reset, Americano is working fine with exact 150 ml. However, Tea is not working correctly and all way dispense more the 22-23 oz irrespective of setting. Breville will send me new unit and I will check it.

This is best investment ever made for someone who wants to start making their own coffee. I love the features it has and how simple the instructions are

Quite disappointed. Was so excited to get this machine, did a ton of research, waited for it to go on sale, only to recieve an older model without the cold brew or cold espresso functions that I paid for and expected. False advertising was very disheartening. Not even worth the price on sale for $1,300 (let alone full price) without those functions. Had to return and missed out on the sale. Now we have to wait again for another sale until we can make another purchase, and safe to say it won't be a Breville Product.
Machine itself functioned ok (although I don’t think it did very well at dialing in the espresso, we had to troubleshoot that ourselves.) The machine was otherwise sleek and seemed to function decently.
