I was looking for a blender that is quiet. Based on several reviews, this one came out highly recommended. The brand new price is very expensive so I came upon this one from Best Buy at $69.99, such a good deal. Today I just received it, opened it, assembly only took 5 minutes, it looks soild and expensive...tried blending frozen strawberries and fresh apples, the blender turned out w/o any problem, it was very quiet compared to the other blenders i had, the juice came out like puree. The blade on the bottom I love so much because i can take it off easily just by twisting it with my hand. it also comes with a tool which helps you turn the base of the blade, but i did it with my hands. Jar is made of heavy glass. Very simple machine, no frills, yet so powerful. I hope it does not go out on me, it being a Refurbished.

Out of the box and loving it. Makes perfect smoothies, looks great, extremely quite and the price is perfect. You can crush ice and have a normal conversation and not run everyone out of the room!! No more dreading the shake making time. Also the warranty is one year instead of 90 days. We have tried several blenders off the CR recommended list and this one is the best. Breville has put some thought into this one with the loop on the lid, cord storage under the unit and a tool to remove the blades for cleaning. The whole family is extremely pleased with this product and would highly recommend to anyone.

This blender is great- it has enough power to blast through a thick smoothie or shake. The smoothie function is great- it adjusts the speed throughout the cycle to ensure the smoothie is properly blended. The digital timer is nice since it lets you know how long before a beverage is done. Great product!

I have purchased several other Breville appliances, including the smart oven, single cup coffee maker, so I didn't hesitate to purchase this Breville blender when I started looking for a new blender. I love the smoothie and ice options on this blender, which others don't offer. I read many reviews and some indicated that the glass blender and blades have a leakage problem, but I haven't run into that. Just don't tighten it too much. I think that's the key. It also has a timer with is really nice. This blender looks chic with the stainless appearance and it's a snap to clean without any grooves to catch things when wiping. Overall, it's a great item and you won't regret it in your kitchen appliance arsenal.

I purchased a refurbished model and the blender leaked the very first time i used it. I tried tightening the blade housing and still leaked. I contacted Best Buy and I received a new (refurbished) blender in about 3 days. Returned the defective blender to the Best Buy store in my neighborhood without incident. This is a really nice blender for the money ($69.99). The only downside is the fact the blender jar will not fit in the top rack of any dishwasher I've seen (I'm 58) and must be handwashed. I use it two-three times a day. I also bought the Breville SmartOven toaster oven and it too is awesome.

Love using it. Makes perfect smoothies in 60 seconds.

Just received my "Factory Certified Refurbished" BBL 600XL Blender today and upon plugging it into the wall nothing worked on the model. Looks great but not functional. Will try one more time and then will go for my money back. Merry Christmas to all and hope this has not happened to you 72 hrs before youneeded a gift.
