My hubby bought me this machine for my birthday. I've been using automatics, and he has no idea how coffee machines work, so he didn't realize it was a semi-automatic. But I was game to step up my coffee routine and learn how to do it this way, even knowing it was going to be more work and time. I have one capp a day, so not a big deal. I read many of the very helpful reviews here, and I knew there would be a learning curve. I spent the next five weeks watching video after video, buying a distributor/tamper (gamechanger for finally getting pressure), buying fresh roasted beans locally, reading the manual, taking 9 pages of notes and keeping track of my daily tries, timing, grind changes, temp changes, and I never got a yummy cup of coffee from this. I drink capps, so the milk and stevia do help mask it, but I would taste the plain coffee and even when the pressure was right (that took weeks) and the flow and crema looked good, the coffee tasted sour. I kept buying accessories hoping to get it right. I even took a barista class online! I found myself feeling a pit in my stomach as I approached the machine instead of a happy feeling. I'm so relieved that we could return this thing (THANK YOU, BEST BUY!!!). I'm not a coffee connoisseur. I just want a good capp that I don't need a laundry list for the multiple steps needed to pull a good shot...even if I could pull one. Maybe this was one faulty. I sure gave it my best shot. Lots of folks love this machine, which kept me going on my journey. I kept thinking, "there's got to be a delicious cup of coffee in here somewhere!" I also know people have been frustrated by it. I never wanted to throw it out the window LOL, but I'm so happy to go back to a press-the-button machine.

Best espresso ever. Easy to use and gives you the best results.

I bought this as a replacement for an older Breville espresso machine (from ~18 years ago) which started having issues with its buttons. While this offers more features (mainly the integrated bean grinder), the materials it is made of do not seem to have the same quality feel. It also weighs less, despite being physically larger. As for the features, the grinder, once you have spent some time setting it up, is a great addition and the espresso function makes good coffee every time. The part I am disappointed in, and it may be that I just need more time to work out the best way to use it, is the steaming wand. I cannot get the nice foamed milk that I could get from the older machine (which had a different design of wand). Overall, I am happy with it so far.

The espresso machine is easy to use. Coffee taste could well moderated. Overall satisfied by this product.

I first bought a DeLonghi and didn't like it. For the same price I bought the Breville and is excellent!! What I like best is the froth it makes. It is simple to use and you can change how fine you want the grinds, the amount of grinds for both 1 shot or 2 shots, and a gauge to let you know if your settings and tamping are good.

I purchased this for my wife as a gift because she had an older espresso machine and wanted an upgrade. It has worked great and its a very good value for the quality we have received. She was able to elevate her barista skills and is very pleased with this unit.

I am a coffee snob admit it takes a lot to impress me. I roast my coffee and teach others about the process with this machine. I won't bore you with all of it's features and benefits but just wanted to say that if you appreciate these sort of things you will be happy you got this machine. If you just want to push a button and expect quality and invest in your knowledge base regarding everything coffee this is for you.

This is one very good espresso maker. I am two months into using it on a daily basis, and so far it performs as expected. Professional grade, and the built quality is excellent. The only downside from my perspective is the water tank size. Even though it's sufficiently large, the machine's water consumption is high. The tank needs be refiled frequently, and the bottom tray cleanup also becomes a pain. Overall, a great coffee maker.

ive owned one for 3 years and use it everyday. ive purchased 2 for gifts also. its well made and works very well also very satisfied with it.

My best thing bought it ever from best buy , I used it often it changed my understanding of the meaning of real coffee. You have to be patient to learn how to use this great machine. This is not for lazy persons if you are lazy then back to the coffee maker .

I love this coffee machine it’s the BEST! Can make your own caramel macchiato! I highly recommend this coffee machine if you love coffee and also can make lattes or hot chocolate with steamed milk for your kiddos!

I read several reviews and I could tell the reviewers were hard core coffee snobs and not easy to please. They loved it. I have had one for 2 1/2 years and can't tell you how much I love it. Better than StarbuXXX. I use good quality bean in a dark roast. I have people begging for iced cappuccino's in the summer. The grinders in these machines are better than others. Try hershey's dark syrup in a cappuccino . You'll be in love!

I've had the machine for over 3 1/2 years and its the best machine ever and with no problems. It has saved tons of money. This is not an expense, it is an investment if you are a coffee drinker. I saved $8 a day from this. Make the math.

Very nice machine. Saves a lot of money compared to buying at stores. It grinds the espresso fresh then makes it seamlessly. Very good value for an everyday product. Easy to clean

We have owned this machine for over 3 years and it’s still brewing. This baby gets used every single day. I make 3 (one each) coffee's every morning before we leave for work. Highly recommend it!!

Purchased as a Christmas gift for my daughter. She was very excited and she loves it. No need for her to visit the $$$ coffeeshop now. This gift will save her so much money.
