This is my first French press experience so I do not have any comparisons. I have owned this French press for about 2 and half weeks. I followed the instructions to the letter provided in the package to brew coffee and it really makes great tasting coffee. Pros: 1) very nice looking and seems to be well made. It feels good and not light and flimsy. 2) makes great coffee. 3) extra filter included for easy replacement when needed. Cons: this is more of French press cons in general, not only for this unit. I will list them for anyone who may not know like myself in the beginning. 1) You will need to clean the filter each time you use it by disassembling the filter because ground will get between the plunger mechanism. 2) the instructions to brew coffee calls for 56g of coffee beans before grinding. That's about 8 tablespoons, which I think is a lot of coffee. I guess it must be normal for French press coffee, what do I know? Because of this I tried to brew with less grams, but taste was not the same. Now I'm only brewing French press about once or twice a week because taste is better with 56g. I would still recommend this unit because the end result is worth it to me. I also chose this unit because I already have a brim coffee grinder, so chose to go with the same brand.

I dropped my Bodum French Press so I bought this one. My coffee grinder and moka pot are Brim and dont feel cheap at all so I didnt expect this one to be so light and thin. A french press doesnt do much so this one does well functionally. The filter fits well with the glass so that doesnt feel like its going anywhere when pouring. It looks nice just as it does in the pictures. The pressing mechanism is light and small. This wont affect your functionality, but if they were heavier I wouldnt feel like I have to be so careful while washing. Also the pressing mechanism on the bodum press was larger, so it would sit upside down while weighing coffee or pouring which was convenient. In the end, the pieces that didnt break on my old press fit on this one so I get the best of both worlds. A nice looking functional press, with a heavy lid and larger press plunger. Its the little things ya know.

Makes a great cup of coffee. It holds more than my previous french press, and the material makes it even easier to clean than normal presses I’ve used in the past.

Works well. Bought to replace one that I broke. This one seems to be better built. Has thicker class and made of better material.

This is a great French Press but the instructions aren't great. I couldn't get a good cup of coffee from it until I watched James Hoffman's recipe on YouTube. Now I love it but be warned, there are fat better recipes out there than what came in the box.

It is the perfect press. No coffee grounds escape in to your brew. I highly recommend it.

Makes a good cup of coffee. Difficult to measure out the amount of cups though bc there are no markings/measurements.
