Won't wake from sleep; have to turn on and off; sleep timer settings reset every time to 1min. Looping problems

I had an old LExmark Lasr for years that was acting up and I had been meaning to get a new low cost laser. I stumbled across this unit on sale and for the price you can;t beat this. Wifi, scanning, copy and print in a tight little package. And you can do all functions via wifi as well. The included software is a little weak and the wifi setup is tedious, but then once set up you are done. Like many laser printers when it spins up it draws a lot of power so if you have an older home where many things are on the same circuit the lights will flicker. fortunately I had run some dedicated outlets to my home office a few years back and just moved this print to one of those and no more flickering lights. They really don't tell you have to secure this on wifi to prevent unauthorized printing. They really shoudl put some info on how to do that.

I have had this printer for almost 3 years and its performance has been stellar! It prints, scans, and copies well. The machine is user-friendly and easy to operate. I highly recommend this unit to anyone in need of a reliable printer.

When this printer is working it works well. It's fast, scans fine, not crazy loud. My main reason for choosing this printer was compatibility with AirPrint and wifi printing. Sadly it just doesn't work well in that department. Even though it says it's connected to my wifi it's constantly in this deep sleep mode and won't print. I have to turn it off and on again. I tried to turn off sleep mode and could not (I work in computers so I usually can figure these things out). When it is connected it still doesn't want to work with AirPrint on my home. I had to download the brother app and open the things I will to print in the app to print them. Which is fine for a PDF but I can't do that with a webpage. Also there is no USB connector. So I actually can not connect this printer directly to my macbook air because the air doesn't have an ethernet port. If you are just planning to hook this up to your desk top than it's great. Good price. But if you want anyone on your wifi to be able to print from any device at any time I would keep looking.

This is a great b/w laser printer, copier and scanner with automatic document feeder. My family prints from our MacBook and iOS devices. I love the Brother app on my iPad. I can straighten and crop scans and then send them to Evernote, email, DropBox, etc. I especially appreciate the Evernote option. The app is user-friendly and I am pleased with the results. Great choice and it has a good price.

I got this for my son because he always go out to the store to print his stuff. This printer also scans and makes clear copies for him. So far so good. This printer is doing a good job!

Produces fine prints and copy, but difficult to setup wifi

Plugged it in, went thru a few simple setup steps for wifi, and went to work. Uses little amounts of ink, and is very efficient.

Nice unit, slightly bigger than it really needs to be - but excellent print & scan quality.

This printer constantly goes offline. In order to get it to print, I have to download info and start all over. When I was trying to figure out why, I found that many people are having the same problem Very surprised that this was not mentioned in reviews. Also when it goes to "sleep" which is immediately, it takes a long time to "wake back" up again. Tried to get help through Brother but no luck. Do not buy!!

This printer costs me at least 1 hr each month on the phone with tech support to help me reconnect it to my devices as it keep losing connection. I will not buy another such device from brother
