Love the product easy to set up and love the scan option

This is my updated purchase of the brother laser wireless printer. Altho, it only takes black toner, no color ink, I think this is a big plus because it's alot cheaper in the long run. Toner lasts a long time. It is fast , holds alot of paper and very clear prints.

I've had this printer for about a month now and it's been working pretty well so far. Pros: - I've printed maybe 100 or so pages since purchasing it and it has been able to print all my pages cleanly without any paper jams or toner issues. - The ADF scanner works well and has been able to scan multiple pages at a time without issues. - The PDF resolution of the documents I've scanned have all been sharp and clear which I really appreciate. Cons: - Not too big of a deal but sometimes the black and white images I've printed come out slightly darker than I'd like. Overall, I think this printer is a good purchase and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a black & white printer.

This printer is a dream. Easy and consistent connectivity. Great scanning. Great printing, fast and affordable. No paper jams so far. I had a brother prior to my last HP, and the whole time I had the HP I was counting the days until it failed so I could get another Brother. Very satisfied.

Thus far - about 3 weeks - i have thoroughly enjoyed using this printer. It prints quietly, quickly, and with crisp black result. Am still in a learning curve as this replaces a nearly 15 year-old injet printer; but am really thrilled at having a laser printer at so reasonable price!

Brother makes great printers that last forever. This one proved to be a pain to connect and install on my Windows laptop via WiFi and even more of a pain to install on my wife's Chromebook. Once installed its a great printer, copier, scanner and is very fast printing.

After 12 years my Canon all in one printer finally quit printing. It wasn't worth the cost of repair so I began the stressful search for a suitable replacement in my price range. I sellled on two models so next came the selection of a reliable vendor. I decided on Best Buy for a couple of reasons: They had a good customer rating and they had the geek squad incase anything did go wrong. .When I checked availability they had both models and the store servive was kind enough to go over the differences. I chose the Brother model and also got the 5 year service contract for $35. So far the printer is working great and I hope it will for the next 8-10 years. Best Buy also stocks the replacement toner for the same price as the online suppliers including Brother. Ive bought several other products over the years at this branch abd have never had a complaint.

So easy to print and I like that when you print something, it prints quickly.

I have had it for about a week. LOVE IT! The print quality is great! Be aware that it only makes black and white copies...which is fine with me. I have an extra printer that prints color if need be. Looking forward to not having to continually buy printer ink!

We have for years been HP printer owners so when the last one died after only 5 years of very little use, I went to replace with another HP. I bought one of similar size as the one that died. Customer support was HORRIBLE and after one week of use my husband said the black ink needed replacement cartridge, there are 4, one is black they each cost about $70. I can't afford ink replacement costs, especially weekly! I shopped and learned Brother to be reliable brand and learned that lazer cartridge lasts longer and costs less per page and has other benefits. Installation was a breeze thanks to their app and self installing. We've had it for about a month and all goes well. I'm very happy with this choice. My friend who is also HP user has switched to Brother as well for all the same reasons. I recommend this to everyone. Read the reviews, they are all good.

Purchased this to replace a less than 2yr old dead DCP-L2550DW. The motherboard was dead, apparently a common issue with Brother printers. Purchased this DCP-L2640DW with an extended warranty. I am a System Administrator since 2000, and I've installed, fixed and administered 1000's of printers and always had good luck with Brother printers. Some how my DCP-L2550DW only lasted just shy of 2yrs. So about this new printer, it does not share the same consumables as other models, and its the same exact size as my old DCP-L2550DW. Functions are the same as well. Driver package is a bit like HP where they load ads about their toner service. I like the mobile app that allows you to scan to PDF easily, then you can either email, save to your cloud storage service, or text the file. HOWEVER my issue with this is the scans using the sheet feed are always about 5 degrees to the right. Its crooked!! I opened a ticket with Brother support and no one reached out, not by email or phone, but I did get the survey email. I am not happy about this! Printing is normal, you will not be amazed unless you're coming from an inkjet printer. Speed is on par with a base model laser. Overall I am not impressed with a newer model of the one I am replacing, and not happy with Brother's lack of support and poor customer service.

Good, easy to setup on network. Copy, scan and setup menu easy to implement. Envelope printing is little inconveinience in setting up.

The printer speed is very helpful.Quite operation and WiFi connection is stable.
