Good Printer for the price and functions

Getting tire of paying unreasonal price for color tuners, decide to go for black-and-white laser printer. Going over a lot of reviews, find this brother printer meets my requirements. Pros: 1. Very easy to setup. The printer finds my house wi-fi right away. Within a few minutes, my iPhone, iPad and MacBook Pro are able to print with air print. (Sorry I don’t use Windows PC) 2. Touner costs less than $50 for a new one. Will find out later how long the tuner comes with machine lasts. 3. Copy functions work as I expected. Haven’t had the chance to use the scan functions. 4. Print both sides. 5. Compact size for the functions. Don’t take big space. Cons: No more color printing. If you need a lot of color printing, don’t buy this B&W printer. I have been put my color pictures in USB drive and go to Office Depot to print. Their price is acceptable for me.

If you want a B/W printer that is quick, and reliable and does what it claims then this is the one for you. I also love the features of scanning into color as well as setting up shortcuts to save to my online office applications.

This printer can not be better. Super easy to install, Perfect size, fast, cheap cartridge, very quiet, it has its own direct wifi with a great range. It is a great printer with an affordable price. I could not be happier with that.

10 months later, still a great printer.

Brought this printer in September 2022, and writing this review in July 2023. Since the 10 months, this printer has been working flawlessly. The print quality is very good and prints fast than my old inkjet printer. The scanner functionality also is pretty good. The main reason I brought this is because Lazer printer toner lasts more longer than the ink in inkjet printers and is more reliable. At the time of writing this, I am still using the starter toner. This could vary depending on how much you use the printer, but I print occasionally so that's why it lasted this long. It has a 700 page yield. Overall I recommend this printer. There is the other model of this printer, the l2390DW. I believe this and that printer are the same but this has the touch screen while the 90 has a basic LCD. While this costs a little more than the 90DW, I feel it's worth it because the touch screen makes it feel more modern and it in general more easier to use and navigate. This depends on you though because other than the touchscreen and the color, they are the same printer. I suggest you do more research before buying a Lazer printer for the differences as i'am not really sure, but overalI, I recommend this printer.

Crisp and clear, easy to set up. Solid and sturdy feel. I don't use wireless, but it's available. I really wanted to get away from ink jets - they dry out sooner than I use them, and it turns out the quality of prints is much better with this. We have an earlier model in the office, and it has held up well for years.

    Quality B&W Laser Printer

This unit is smaller than the bulky all in one printers/scanners to which I am accustomed which makes it more convenient to place in my office. It scans color print and photos but makes copies/prints only in B&W and is wired to your computer or networked wirelessly through your router. It also works well with AirPrint from my iPhone. The printed pages are clear and crisp and outputs 1 page roughly every 3 seconds. If color printing is not a requirement, this printer can save you time and also money not replacing ink cartridges. It uses toner cartridges instead which are slightly more expensive but provide many more printed pages than ink. It does NOT have a USB port for scanning to a thumb drive but the manual speaks of it having the capability to scan to the cloud, possibly “one drive, Dropbox or another such cloud service,” eliminating the need for a flash drive or memory stick. I have not yet had time to experiment with this capability.

I have been exploited by stupid inkjet printers for ages! The reason being I don't use printers very much and inkjets get all jacked up if you use them every now and then to print few papers. Also the ink for those printers is pricey. After failure with all sort of Canon and Epson printers, One of my friend introduced me to Brother laser printers and I was like never heard of these. He used to work at a print shop and if they use that, it means Brother has it going on. So decided to buy this one and cudnt be more happier. Writing this review after 1 month plus usage and below is where it shines:- 1) Ease of setup:- It is connected to 5 laptops in my house via wifi and set up in each one takes less than 1 minute. 2) Economical:- Price might see like higher for a laser printer but smallest TN730 toner cartridge prints out 1200+ pages and its about 45$. For inkjets the ink is expensive first of all and they print only about 100+ pages if you are lucky without a hiccup. So it is best for college student and kids homework printouts at the house. 3) Build quality is great too! Thanks

    I really like this printer

I didn't have any trouble setting the printer up. It's wireless so doesn't need to be right next to my computer. I've printed, scanned and copied. I also downloaded the app to my iPhone and printed documents from the phone. I only have 2 complaints; otherwise it would get 5 stars. One is that the lights in the room dim when I use the printer. I contacted Brothers and they sent me the specifications that basically said it was impossible because the power draw is minimal. They had me change some settings but nothing helped. In the end they told me that if it bothered me, I should create a dedicated circuit for the printer - or move it to another room where the lights were off! The other complaint has to do with copying. There is a toner save function that works well when printing, but if I want to make a readable copy, I have to remember to the turn the toner save feature off.

I did some research on this printer before purchasing. Like most, i agree that this is a GREAT printer for home or small office. Set up is easy, print quality is good, printer is about the size of a small microwave. Allows you to print from your phone which is an awesome feature. I recommend this for anyone in the market for a laser jet printer. The price was also a bonus but i think i purchased it on sale. If possible, wait until there is a sale on this printer, at regular price it can be a bit much for some. I did not want spend to much on a printer. Very happy with this purchase.

    Really Happy

I am very happy with this product. It is made well and I enjoy the easy use of it. I am an older person and for me to be pleased with any of present day products is unusual as I find most things today very poorly design and cheaply made. A small aside: I still have and use my 67 year old toaster, even though the Instant Omni Plus also made good toast.

After having a inkjet printer for years, it was time for a new one. So, I shopped around. I wanted something basic yet had some features that we did use. This Brother filled need very nicely. The price was right. The features were right. Set up was a breeze (less than seven minutes to get it onto the network) and prints double-sided with easy. It has a small footprint so it fits on a desk and holds a lot of paper. The screen is easy to ready. We like this one very much.

I purchased this printer for the purposes of creating foil artwork and greeting cards. It is VERY large, so bear that in mind if your desk space is limited - this is especially important if, like me, you'll be using thicker paper, which requires the manual feed pass through, so you'll need space in front AND in back of the printer. Printing over WiFi is a lifesaver, since I didn't have room to keep the printer in my office. Setup and connecting it for the first time was fairly simple, though I do recommend having a USB connection for initial setup; once WiFi connection is established, you can do away with the cord. Printing is quiet and fast, but I do wish the touch screen was larger than two postage stamps. If you have large fingers forget it; mine are small and I still feel tempted to use a stylus. My only concern going forward is replenishing toner; in a world of built-in obsolescence, I'm hoping that one day I don't go to order toner, only to find it's been discontinued because there are 50 new options, and mine has been done away with. All in all, a solid, reliable laser printer. A little higher than what I initially wanted to pay, but it's an investment in my business.

I'll tell you. I was under the illusion since the first dot matrix printers back in the 80s came out that I needed a color printer. The fact is, we hardly EVER print in color. Our personal needs is B&W, but if the document contains color, your color printer is going to render the doc in color. No big deal. So what if you waste color ink when you don't need it. We all know that answer. The printer manufacturer$ want you coming back again and again to buy their ink. And they went so far as to shut down your printer if you run out of any of the three colors, EVEN IF YOUR DOC ONLY CALLS FOR B&W. Enough is enough. I finally decided that as soon as the Epson ran low on any color and Brother was on sale I was going to pull the trigger. The Brother 2395 came with good reviews from the trade magazines and at the right price. Once it went on sale, I pounced. Setup was simple, once you remembered your network password. It prints, it copies, it scans. And although it prints only in B&W (two-sided), it does scan in color to your PC. If you're thinking about switching from color inkjet to B&W laser for the first time, the HL-L2395SW is an excellent selection.

I had a great color jet printer but since I retired from teaching the color cartridges were expiring before the ink was used up. This laser printer should prove more economical for me. Print quality is good. Lots of great features. Setup was quite easy. I like being able to print from my mobile devices. This unit is more compact than my last multifunction printer. I am quite happy with this purchase.

I was actually told to go for this brand, and I’m happy I did. I can print multiple documents and have many more jobs in cue and it will never freeze or miss a document. The quality is great and it’s so easy to use. The best thing about this is that - like many other printers, I can print from my phone easily if need be. Overall, it’s a quality machine, it is reliable, and it will get the job done!

Laser is the only way to go if you print a lot of documents and you can always count on Brother for a quality product. This was the easiest wireless printer I have ever set up. It works flawlessly every time. I love that I can copy and scan with this printer too. 90 percent of what I print is black and white so this is so much more economic than an inkjet printer.
