only recently installed but I'm impressed. Brother gives you the option of downloading just the drivers or their entire suite of software. I choose the drivers as I had no need for the rest of the software which is often intrusive. Wifi setup went very quickly. I selected my wifi network and typed in the password and that was it. In windows I went to Add Printer and it immediately found it on the wifi network. Then it was a simple matter following the setup wizard. I printed a color photo just as a test and it worked just fine. I realize this printer isn't intended to print photos but I wanted to see how it looked. So far I am a happy camper and I intend to but 3rd party toner as recommended by users on reddit.

Very happy with the printer, and would recommend it. Four stars because I bought this printer to replace one that was just out of warrantee and had a mechanical problem. Best Buy could only offer a special printer tech which would be scheduled a month out. They gave me the contact info for Brother repair, and they were even worse.

I am so happy with my Brother printer purchase! The setup was easy using their wizard. The speed is very satisfactory. It is convenient to print remotely from another room in the house using my phone. The color is good quality and the 2-sided print option is a good economy. I have no complaints! Completely happy with this purchase.

I have a college DEGREE in computer technology and I still can't get this thing to print! It printed a couple times when first setup but now it's constantly disconnected, in an error state or undetectable on the network. The print quality was fine but $350 for a few prints is not a good ROI. I'm unsure if It's returnable or if it stopped working just in time for the return period to close. It shows up as a device in their own print and scan app but it still won't print. Once you close out the app, it removes the printer from the list of active printers. Adding it back doesn't make it print. You can't print from a browser either. It just errors and never prints. I have a different black and white laser printer on the same network working without an issue. Everything has up to date software. I had never had problems with other brother printers but clearly this one is uniquely unreliable. What a waste.

For the price it is great solid laser printer. The build quality is realy really. Setup is a bit challenging. The timestamp can only be updated when setup connection to a simple network time protocol site. This network base auto time syncing service based your region/country. Setup does not tell how to do that you search the inter and find a listing of server. I used time.google.com and ntp1.ntp-servers.net as secondary connection. Also, no scanner, but rarely print or scan anyway. Laser are the best choice for infrequent use. You can always by a separated wireless scanner from Brother.

Im generally not excited about printers because there is always something wrong about them, but this one has been great so far.

This is my first printer of this type and I am very impressed with the ease of set up and the printing speed. In my other printers I would hear them moving back and forth as they printed but with this Brother machine, all I hear is the paper moving, if that, Apparently it found my wifi and connected to it as soon as I turned it on because I didn't have to type in a password. I am very impressed!

This is the best printer I've ever owned. Nothing fancy, but it works consistently, setup was very easy and it fits well in my home office. Would definitely recommend.

So far, this printer has been really good. The toner seems like it is getting used quickly, so bear that in mind when considering purchasing this printer. The resolution and color saturation for color printing is really beautiful and text is crisp and easy to read, especially when comparing to an ink jet printer.

Setup was super easy, the most complicated part was finding all the blue tape holding the trays and doors closed. Plugged it in and was able to connect to my wifi easily. My computers have found it on our network without any issue. Printing is super quiet; if there's a fan or other noise in the room you can't even hear it run. Print jobs are very smooth; maybe a bit light but that's likely just an economy setting.

Works very well. The scanner quickly prints out excellent prints in both color and black and white.

This is a great printer overall. It is quick and the printouts are clear with excellent color. So far there is only one issue that keeps me from giving it 5 stars. I do a lot of printing on card stock - business cards, greeting cards, etc. The printer makes the media curl a lot. I have tried bending it back by hand (business cards) and letting it sit overnight with heavy books on top of the stack of printouts. That works OK, but it is a bit of a pain and id I need the prints right away it's very inconvenient. Other than that issue have only good things to say about the printer. I find it to be much better than the HP MFP M281cdw it is replacing, except for the page curling.

Had a hard time with the driver and win11. Hard wired to my computer. Win11 update uninstalled the driver. Had to reinstall. Printer prints well

I've been using this printer in my real estate business for 6 months now and it has performed flawlessly! The print quality is good and I love the duplex printing feature.

Not totally sure yet what is up with this printer, but I think I just happened to get one with a small defect. It eventually does print but needs to restart each time I print something. But... Certified Cellular immediately remedied my situation and I am extremely happy with their quick response and action and I will likely replace with the same model. When the printer behaves, I am happy with the results.

Had been brother for 10+ years,Never broke down, never disappointed.Still using the old laser B&W printer.Bought the new Color one to add one to personal office.I am not a Fan bot,but I always had issues with Hp and Canon, brother models may have one or two less features for the price compared to the other two,but it is more reliable, and I appreciate that aspect the most.

I've had many printers over the years. But setting up this printer was a dream. It was ready to go in about 5 minutes and I am a Mac user. Printing from iPhone, iPad, Mac Air, and Mac Mini with no issues at all. Very fast and the print is really sharp. The color is good too, and I am glad to leave behind the mess of inkjets.
