Also it’s almost cheaper to buy a new printer every time and just throw them away.

Posted .Hello Brad, stated page yields for genuine Brother cartridges are based on the ISO testing standards. The number of pages that can be printed with a cartridge is affected by several factors, including paper size, number of pages per print job, amount of print on each page, font size, and print content (graphics, charts, etc.). Print jobs with large text fonts, graphics, charts, and/or large amount of solid coverage (black or any given color) will use much more toner and will shorten the life of the toner cartridge.

With these new printers, if you don't have ink available, all the colors are uesless. It only works if all ink is available. So you keep buying and mixing/matching. They all waste so fast but I suppose this is normal now.

I'm thinking of actually going to one of those Cartridge World places and having it filled up instead of buying new ones every time. Despite being xl,. They don't last very long at all.

Posted .We are sorry to hear that you are unhappy with the yield of the Brother LC2033PKS ink cartridge pack and we'd like to help. One factor that will affect your color ink consumption is the cleaning cycle of the machine. The machine is designed to automatically flush and clean all the ink jet nozzles on a programmed schedule. This process can't be turned off or disabled. During the cleaning process, the machine draws out a small amount of ink to remove air bubbles from the cartridge and to remove dust and dried ink from the ink nozzles and channels. Another factor that could be affecting your color ink consumption is the amount of printing from a computer, even if the print jobs are black only. Because this machine offers full color printing, the default setting in the print driver is color. This means the machine will automatically mix all the colors to produce a selected color, even black.
