This is a great laser printer. Good speed and color.

It has been 3 weeks since I set up the printer. Basic instructions are well laid out, but scanning "from and to" instructions are not. I had to call customer service and they were helpful, but they were in a rush to hang up the phone. My previous experience (2 years ago) with customer service was excellent.

Bought a year ago and just today I had to buy black toner!!! Might be $60 BUT I print weekly/ daily. We homeschool, I print for church stuff and it has done me good. Color toners are only at 2/3 full!!! Totally recommend. I’m in love....

I purchased this for my home office, but it was too big and required more power than my outlets would allow, so it would be great for a SMALL OFFICE, but not a home office, as what I bought it for

I have purchased other brand printers before but Brother has consistently come through for me. This is a very reliable home office printer and I would recommend it to anyone.

I wanted a color laser mfc to replace an older one. This unit was easy to set up to talk to my network storage for scanning and the color is really nice.

Purchased this printer after our tech guy recommended it! Very good product, expensive refill cartridges that hopefully will last a long time!

ADF is not reliable, scans are crooked.Cheap plastic.

I want to love this printer. It is robust, prints good color/black and white copies and has been relatively easy to set up. The problem that I have run into is that I get a blue line on every scan. This only happens on scans. Printouts and copies are fine. I spent an hour on the phone with Brother's first tier support only to be told, I can't help you, let me transfer you to a second tier support person. After being on hold for another 30 minutes, I hung up. See a picture of what I am seeing. I plan to try their firmware upgrade and if that does not fix the printer, it will be going back to Best Buy on Monday.

I been looking for a Nice MFC for a few weeks now. I came across this one that was a 2014 Newer Model. I got sick of getting ripped off buying Ink all the time for my HP 7520 Ink Jet and I wanted something that would print color documents out without spending a fortune on ink. So out of the the reviews I seen; This MFC-L8850CDW looked to be the best for the buck. Set up was really easy and the quality of the prints are very nice, so far I am very happy with this. I love the Big touch screen display and the 50 page Auto Feeder is great! I ordered the High Yield TN-336BK Black Toner for my Back up Toner; Claims to do 4,000 pages. Best buy had this printer to my home in 2 days, Its is a little on the noisy side compared to my Brother HL-2275DW But that does not bother me. Brother phone support is great ! And you get it for the life of your printer, You can't go wrong with this printer.

Its completely touchscreen, I love it. Some parts are not as sturdy as my previous canon all in one though. Easy to use.

Our office used 4 MFC-9970CDW and never had an issue with them. So I purchased this latest edition of MFC thinking it will have the same quality but I was mistaken. It seems like the machine works great after the initial setup because it was printing fine. But after I ran the scan job for the first time using the ADF, it made a loud clicking noise and it throw an error: "Scan Unable AF" and now the machine is giant paper weight. What happen was that the part with the vertical light that supposed to go from left to right during scanning or copying got stuck on the left side for some odd reason. Calling Brother Support was another unpleasant experience with the hold time and the call being dropped twice. I don't want to lose faith with Brother but for now I have to give a 1 star for this specific machine because of its poor quality.
