I used the Apple Magic Keyboard for a year before switching over to this. The reason was because you can stand the iPad in portrait mode and still use the keyboard. Also it feels like a real laptop. The Apple Magic Keyboard was great, but for my use case I prefer this.

I preordered the M2 IPad Pro and received it on the 26th of October 2022. I upgraded from my 2020 iPad Pro which I had paired with the Magic Keyboard. When I Went to Best Buy two days later to upgrade my Magic Keyboard, I saw this Brydge Max+ which I had never heard of and instantly was attracted to it because of the function keys that are on the keyboard. I watched a quick review on YouTube and decided to buy it. Later (right before I wrote this review), I found out that although the keyboard is everything I hoped it would be. The track pad is atrocious. Even now as I try to correct mistakes in this review, it hardly works half of the time. I’ve reinstalled the latest Brydge software multiple times to no avail. The keyboard is working wonderfully with the function keys, but the track pad is a deal breaker for me. Will return in the morning for a Magic Keyboard. Hopefully they fix the trackpad in the future. I will be on the lookout for updates because I love the concept.

Really like this unit as it makes working with the iPad like a computer but it does add significant weight.

Purchased this for my iPadPro 12.9 5th Gen. I will say it along with my iPad is heavier than my old setup (Brydge+iPadPro 9.7). I knew this when I purchased it, but just keep that in mind. The response time from the keyboard to the iPad is super fast. The previous models had a second or two latency. The keys/keyboard work great. The touch pad works really well. I like that it uses a USB-C port to charge. The only minor complaint is when you use the pad to select something. You have to click/press it, it would be nice to just tap. Navigating and zooming work great on the pad. Overall I’m really happy with it. I’ve only had it about a week, but everything has been great. Between my wife and I this is our third Brydge device and all have been great.

Overall this is a big improvement over previous models. I do wish it was a slimmer model.
The best keyboard cover what ever it is for my iPad! I had the keyboard pad from apple the one that cost 400!!!! And this one that cost half the cost, IS WAY BETTER!!

It is a little heavier than I wish it was, but it is an excellent keyboard and protects my iPad. With this set up, you will never needs a laptop.

It's a very sleek and thin magnetic backboard for the tablet and the keyboard is very comfortable- not at all crowded. It is weighty and you cannot change the laptop positioning. It will not fold on itself.

It’s only been a couple of weeks but I absolutely love this keyboard. I used the Logitech combo touch for about 6 months and it’s started to peel apart. The brydge doesn’t offer any protection, but the type feels better and the large track pad is awesome. I was worried about the Bluetooth connection but it’s almost instantly working every time I press the power button on the keyboard. Construction and materials feel top of the line. I would recommend if you need to type a lot and take notes.

Love the design and it matches my IPad Pro’s Space Grey color. Totally recommend it over Apple’s Magic keyboard and it’s cheaper too!!!

Way better than the magic keyboard, it has its own battery unlike the magic keyboard which drains your iPad fast. It also has a better touch pad. It’s much better for sitting on your lap than the magic keyboard is. Not to mention 150 dollars cheaper, but I’ve come to know apple sells over priced garbage for most everything but the iPad Pro 10000 led and the I phone 13. Everything else I’ve bought from them like the mac book pro was over priced and worked like crap compared to the cheaper alternatives.

Hands down best keyboard for ipad pro. The battery life is unbelievable. The track pad is huge and the build quality is excellent.

I love that it makes my iPad look more like a laptop but the connectivity on it is poor. The app doesn’t work and it does not stay charged long. I feel like the price was too high for this product.

So I just received my Brydge 12.9 Max+ Wireless Keyboard a few days ago and this thing is not only massive, but more impressive in person. Very reminiscent of Apple build quality and design. While it is quite massive in weight, that's not necessarily a deal-breaker (at least not for me). Getting started with the keyboard is fairly simple. You'll want to make sure that the keyboard is fully charged. With the package not including a cable, you'll have to make sure you have a USB-C charging cable to get started. Once it's charged, pairing it with my 12.9 iPad Pro (4th Gen) was easy as pie. Download the BrydgeConnect app from the App Store allows for a quick and seamless firmware update of the keyboard. However, after the firmware, you have to unpair, restart your iPad, and then proceed with pairing the iPad and keyboard again. Seems like those steps should be eliminated or reworked somehow. The feel and travel between the keys on the keyboard is smooth. I love all of the dedicated function keys at the top of the keyboard and not having to use a specific key combination to do simple tasks from anything such as volume control to the brightness of the display. For me the trackpad gestures were similar of that to a regular Apple computer like on my MacBook Air. I do wish the USB-C cable though not included was able to somehow also charge the iPad at the same time. That would be a true winner in my book. Overall I absolutely love my new Brydge 12.9 Max+ Wireless Keyboard and its massive multitouch trackpad; it's like having an Apple laptop.
