This is a good option for creating an almost laptop like experience, especially if you want something than the Apple choices. Setup was extremely easy and so far battery life seems to be great. This case isn't too heavy (but don't expect it to be thin or weightless....you're not going to get that with any case offering the same features). I do enjoy that the trackpad supports gestures (I have used another case that did not support gestures and it was sorely missed). I wouldn't say this is better than the Apple Magic Keyboard but it's definitely a formidable option.

I will start with the unboxing as it is something too simple, open the box take out the device and connect, the connection is via Bluetooth and you need to download an app to take full advantage of the case-keyboard. One of the things I want to mention and that might seem important is the weight, it is not too heavy but if you add the weight of the iPad it might not be so light at all, however at the same time it gives you the feeling of not using an iPad but a macbook, since the keyboard is very similar to a macbook and considering that the OS of the iPads has been improving, the experience is even better. There are just some details such as the stability of the bluetooth connection because does not use the rear connectors is not a big deal but it takes a little bit of time establishing the connection between the iPad and the case. This case has a nice performance and with one charge you can get up to 3 monhts of use, I can say that if you have a routine that requires mobility but at the same time be constantly typing or doing homework or office work and do not want to lose the freedom that gives an iPad, this case is a great option, I agree that there are more alternatives at different prices but once you have in your hands this case-keyboard you can really feel how well made it is and how practical and useful it can be. I recommend this case to those who want to give it a cooler look and get more out of their iPad pro 12.9.

Wow, I just converted my pro pad to a 13" laptop (Kinda) at a very reasonable price tag. First thing I noticed to me anyway was how heavy it felt taking out of the box, But still only 3 lbs. installed the pad which nicely pulled onto the back of the keyboard. Installed the firmware update and so far all is good. Very nice quality, will definitely be a great alternative to the Magic board. Fit and finish is super nice. Tile Keys feel and work great. wake up from sleep mode finds the keyboard almost instantaneously. (connected through bluetooth) 3 backlit board settings. Keyboard has a voice command option key. Huge Track pad works quite well. Board includes function keys. Folks, It feels like I am using a MacBook Pro with this keyboard. Aesthetically very smooth finish and fit with rounded edges. 4 large Rubber feet on bottom which also look quality. Also has a USB C for charging. This is a winner for me!

I’m a long time fan of Brydge products and have had several over the years for iPad and Surface. They’re generally well built, heavy-duty and exceedingly good at their job—and in almost every case, there’s just a few things that keep me from loving them enough to adopt for daily use. Not that long ago I spent the $350 to outfit my iPad Pro 12.9 with Apple’s Magic Keyboard, and that device has provided a very good user experience. It’s a bit heavy, but so is the 12.9” iPad. The hinge is solid, the keyboard is excellent, and the additional power port on the hinge is a great addition. But it’s not without it’s flaws. There are many features on Brydge’s 12.9 MAX+ that directly (and I assume, intentionally) exploit those flaws. The MAX+ has a huge trackpad. It has a row of function keys above the numbers. It handles weight distribution slightly better. All the keys are easily accessible. It is made of more durable materials that show less oil and dirt. Oh, and it’s $100 cheaper at full retail price. No product is perfect, and the MAX+ also has some shortcomings. I love the trackpad size, but the palm rejection and accidental cursor jumps while typing can be frustrating. The clicking mechanism in the trackpad is entirely too deep and feels almost low-budget, and it’s very loud. Sensitivity is really good, but if you’re used to Apple’s trackpads, you’ll immediately be able to feel this is not one of them: very fine scrubbing/scrolling isn’t as smooth as Apple’s own product. The keyboard on the MAX+ is a slight upgrade to the last Brydge product I used, a keyboard case for an earlier generation of iPad Pro. I’ve always felt that Brydge’s keys took just a bit more effort to press, and that sensation is no longer present on the MAX+. These keys have a decent (but not too long) travel distance, are sufficiently quiet, and are soft enough that I won’t get tired after typing for a long time. And, the rubber “feet” that protect the screen from slamming against the keyboard platform are near enough to the keyboard that at no point do my wrists rub against them—this is also something from previous products I didn’t much care for. How the iPad actually rests in the MAX+ is nice—there are rounded edges along the bottom of the hinge that cradle the iPad, so you know exactly where it goes. Magnets secure the iPad to the MAX+, but I think these magnets could be a bit stronger. There’s also a notch on either side of the back piece that allows you to easily detach the iPad. And, because this doesn’t use the Apple smart connector, you can flip your iPad in portrait mode and use the MAX+ as a stand in that fashion (although you have to rely on gravity for this, as the magnets don’t hold anything in place when in portrait mode). The hinge mechanism and the bottom of the device are interesting. The approach here is that the hinge creates a slight elevation of the back of the device from its resting surface, but this creates an edge that, if being used on your lap, can dig into your legs a bit. This elevation also completely lifts the back rubber feet from a flat surface, reducing the overall “gripiness” of the base. The materials are solid. An aluminum deck and hard plastic back are strong and don’t flex much. I did find that lifting the device from either front corner of the deck actually causes the trackpad mechanism to click, although this doesn’t create any false clicks in the system as long as you’re not also simultaneously touching the trackpad. When closed, the unit is pretty chunky, but I’m ok with that. It is about a half of a pound heavier than Apple’s Magic Keyboard, but that extra heft helps with weight distribution. Also when closed, the hinge doesn’t provide a “snap shut” feeling—it’s a bit floppy and only seems to stay fully closed as a result of the weight of the iPad pulling the back piece downward. Like I said, every product is going to have a few flaws, but at the price point and for the ways the MAX+ outperforms Apple’s Magic Keyboard, I’d say it’s worth a look. Yes, it’s a Bluetooth connection, and requires separate charging from your iPad—but the experience is overall very good with only a few minor grievances that are easy to overlook.

I have used quite a few different case/keyboard combos with my iPads over the years, and this is among my favorite to date. Generally, because it gives a better keyboard/trackpad experience than most, and I think it is a better value that the version Apple provides. Build is great. Solid. Feels good in the hand. Nice materials. It does provide some protection, but I would still be wary of major drops. It also does add a little bit of heft/thickness, but, honestly, not a ton and I think the added functionality is more than worth it. You can still easily toss it in a bag. I also very much like the look of this keyboard. Clean. Plain. Simple. Perfect for me. Honestly, it just has the appearance of an Apple keyboard. In many ways, it makes the iPad look like a Macbook. Further, it sits like on too. Balanced on pretty much any surface. As for the keyboard itself, this is what it is all about for me. It is wonderful to use. Layout is spot on, travel is great, and the keys just “feel right.” The row of function keys is a great add, as are the backlit options. The trackpad is large and responsive (not perfect, but good) and better than many I have tried. All in all, as I have said, a really nice typing experience. It doesn’t feel like an afterthought, but rather the focus. I feel like I could just as well be on my desktop, laptop, etc…which is exactly what I was looking for. I should note, while battery life has been outstanding, and I don’t feel this will be issue in any way going forward, this keyboard does require separate charging (USB-C) from the iPad, which is not the case with a lot of keyboards in this space. It is rated for 3 months between charges, and I suspect that will be the case, so, not a big deal. Just something that should be noted. Ultimately, I really like this keyboard. It looks good, is well-built, and most importantly to me, is great to type on. It is quick to put on/take off, if need be, and it really makes it easy to get the most out of my iPad.

I have used several cases with my iPad Pro and this one is right at the top. The magnetic attachment makes it easy to use and the iPad stays in place nicely. It allows for several viewing angles and the keyboard lights up for nighttime use. The case is solid and the quality is top of the line. It folds nicely to allow for compact carrying and the hinge is smooth and strong. It also sports a home button for immediately bringing back the home screen and a Siri button. The feel of the keyboard is amazing compared to others I have used. The real advantage of this keyboard that sets it apart from the others is the trackpad. It is double the size of others and it is responsive and works very well. Everything about this keyboard is top of the line. The battery life is rated for up to three months, which is incredible for a keyboard attachment. Setting up is simple through the application, so be sure to download the application to update the keyboard to the most recent software update. If I could make one improvement, I would make it so that charging the keyboard also charges the iPad. It would be nice to just have one charger needed instead of separate charging cables. With that said, it will hardly ever be an issue since the keyboard holds a charge for such a long period of time. This is a great keyboard and will make your iPad Pro function like a laptop.

    Amazing Wireless Keyboard and Touchpad

The Brydge - 12.9 MAX+ Wireless Keyboard with Multi-Touch Trackpad for the iPad Pro 12.9" is simply amazing! It looks great on the device. Fits like a glove. My iPad feels protected and I am able to be more productive thanks to the ultra responsive keyboard and multi-touch trackpad. The trackpad works with all the gestures supported on the iPad, giving you a seamless experience when switching from the touchscreen to the touchpad. It even has a responsive click that allows you to quickly drag and drop items, highlight sections of text and quickly lookup information with the iOS native search tools. The keyboard is very precise and responsive. The backlit keyboard is spectacular. You can easily adjust the brightness or the keys which is perfect for changing light conditions. When I use the keyboard in the bed I can lower the light so that I don't disturb my spouse. I can type so easily with this keyboard. I love that it is a full keyboard. The battery life of the keyboard is magnificent. I can use it all day without a charge, even using the backlit keyboard. The case is lightweight and durable at the same time. I like how it fits on the iPad Pro. I know my iPad is protected when traveling and the device is in a back or suitcase. I highly recommend the Brydge - 12.9 MAX+ Wireless Keyboard with Multi-Touch Trackpad for iPad Pro 12.9".

I love this device. Why is that? So from the start it comes really well packaged, you just know it's a quality item. When you remove the keyboard you will feel the heft, it is heavier but is also well made. Once ready to use you need to connect via Bluetooth, sadly no pin connector here but it doesn't affect performance. You will need to do an update when first powering on. This is simple and you just follow the on screen instructions. Once done you are ready to go. The iPad connects via magnets to the matter black laptop lid which I like a lot, your pencil will still charge too. Using the keyboard itself is really enjoyable. I love the key travel when typing and also how tactile the keys feel. I can type really quick in this. It has apple shortcuts so it helps save time when using the iPad. Neat feature. I also like the oversized trackpad, much like the MacBooks this works the same with plenty of room. Battery I've had no issues with at all and it's charges via USB C. I've not had to charge yet. Overall I prefer this to other products. It's really well built, the metal base is solid and just feels premium. The hinges are fine and the experience is great. This is the closest you can get to macking your iPad a Macbook

    My preferred iPad keyboard

This is my favorite daily driver keyboard for the iPad Pro with only a few considerations. I have used the Logitech and apple offerings as well but the Brydge is the one that stays attached to my iPad. Pairing was fast and easy, even firmware updates were painless through the app. The only real downside is the fact that this unit is bluetooth and does not use the contacts on the back of the iPad. Thankfully the battery life has been great and exiting from sleep is near instant. The inclusion of dedicated media buttons and the massive track pad make up for having to charge the keyboard every once in a while. Another reason I prefer this over the magic keyboard is the viewing angles. The apple version may look cool while it's 'floating' but it has very limited angles that the screen can be adjusted to. The Brydge unit is much more akin to a traditional laptop and can tilt back much further. Do keep in mind that the Brydge will add a good bit of thickness to your setup but if you are OK with that I have no hesitation recommending this keyboard.

I've previously reviewed the Brydge keyboard for my old Surface Pro and I loved how that device corrected the main issue with the MS branded keyboards and made the SP4 into a proper laptop. The Brydge Max+ for iPad Pro 12.9" is a similar experience. Fit and finish of the keyboard is fantastic and truly feels like a premium product. With every iOS/iPadOS release the iPad feels more and more capable of being a road warrior laptop and this case is key to making it a true laptop replacement. The actual key travel and feel of the key presses on this Brydge Max+ is up there with the best true laptops that I have ever used. Really the only complaint is that charging requires a USB-C cable, but the 3 month advertised battery life sort of makes up for that.

I really like this keyboard case. Chief among its notable features is the trackpad. Overall, the case very close to what you would expect from Apple in terms of responsiveness and build quality. Pairing it was very straightforward, and it doesn’t miss a beat from there. I like having the function button array at the top. The keys themselves are as responsive as you’d want from a laptop and you can easily toggle between backlight or no backlight. While it does add some thickness and weight to the device, it’s not significantly more than other keyboard cases. While I haven’t tested this, it feels like it would protect quite a bit more than other cases during a drop or fall, due to the aluminum cabinetry and solid attachment. A major trade off to note is that you cannot hold the device like a tablet with the case attached. It does not hinge 360 degrees like some cases might. If that’s an issue, you may want to look for alternatives.

This thing is amazing. It turns your tablet into the closest version of a laptop possible. Previous versions didn't include the touch pad but this one not only has one but its huge by comparison! The body is made of aluminum, it looks and feels great in the hands. Every piece of this has a premium feel and look. The keys are soft and have excellent responsiveness. It protects your Ipad while enhancing its looks at the same time. The charge time was excellent and lasted longer than any 2 or 3 sessions that I used it for. I'd definitely recommend this to others looking for an upgrade for their Ipad
