The application is not that intuitive! The applications need and update!

This was my second Buffalo NAS drive with twice the size as my first one as it was nearing it full capacity. Setup was done in less than an hour without any major issue. Already transferred most of my pics and videos on the new drive though it took quite sometime to do it because I have a lot of them. I will closely check the performance for a few months and will be back here for more information.

I bought this NAS because it had the ability to run a scheduled incremental backup to a USB attached hard drive. We've got 50,000+ Lightroom managed photos on the Buffalo. As we add photos, the incremental backup runs once a week to create my safe second copy!

After suffering for a week and a half trying to get a WD MyCloud to work, experiencing how awful WD support was and a product that just didn't work, I returned that drive and got the Buffalo tech 210 4T. HUGE difference! Everything installed as noted, customer support responded to pre-sale inquiries quickly and just to test, I made a simple request this morning to phone support: How about that - support people who speak English and actually know the answers to your questions! DLNA feature is working like a champ, NAS computer sharing is spot on. I'm really impressed. After almost 20 yrs. of WD, I am now officially glad I tried Buffalo Technology!

Purchased the Buffalo Linkstation because my Seagate NAS wouldn't register with seagateshare.com. This is functional but it is relatively slow. I get 15Mbps on read and write speed over 5ghz Wifi. Setup was relatively easy but if you want very high performance, look elsewhere. I haven't tested DLNA with a smart TV but I hope the slow read speed doesn't affect video playback.

The setup instructions seemed a little convoluted but the application and online manual are very intuitive. Connecting a second drive is simple, plugging into my router and having it work on the first try was a pleasant surprise. Housing is sturdy and the drive is quiet.

Initial setup was quick and easy; performance wasn't. In my home network, other NAS have transferred files at 15-20 mg/ this was 2-3. For large file copies (4-20k of files) to the drive, other NAS's would continue to completion; this would simply halt. BestBuy made the return easy.

The app is not good. Hard to navigate. Hard drive keeps falling off the network.

Bought this to replace my old WD book which had security breach issue. So far it does what it’s supposed to do although access speed seems to be slightly slower than WD.

On a techie scale of 1 to 10, I'd score around a 5, so I'm no tech wiz. So that said, it took me around 20-30 minutes to install, provision, and figure out how to upload files to this NAS. Fairly intuitive procedures, good and clean user dashboard, and comprehensive user manual. I've now uploaded most of my CD collection, and have my Sonos Amp connected to stream music throughout my home. Should have done this years ago.

This came highly recommended by my IT specialists as a must have after I had the black screen of death on my laptop

Easy set up. Set it up using the IPhone app. Will set up the computer interface tomorrow. Good backup drive for the price.

Install the recommended software and set up the users and shared and multimedia folders and quick access over the home network and works great through the web also

Gave my laptop free space and gather all my data, picture & videos in one place.

Not that hard to install & price was competitive with Amazon

Could not get it to work with Windows 10 Using SMB2 and Microsoft account
