This antivirus and protection software was very easy to install. It’s a great option for homes that share a computer. I trust myself but sometimes family members wander off onto shady websites that install adware and malware. I typically don’t like to install antivirus software because some can use a lot of resources. I like to game with my computer so I need every ounce of Ram that my computer has to spare. This doesn’t use much resources and even has a gaming profile. I didn’t notice any slow downs on my games or system when the software is running in the background. It’s an antivirus, firewall, parental control and game booster in one, all at a great price. I like it!

BullGuard - Internet Security Gamer Edition is an affordable security suite that has many extra bells & whistles others do not offer at this price point. The software is a suitable for both causal users and experts. This edition is tailored for gamers to specifically not hinder performance while gaming, something that is not addressed by many competitors. Plus, it’s snappy and lightweight so you won’t run into performance issues on daily tasks. After installing your greeted with a clean user interface that is easy to operate, main window contains a collection of 10 large square panels that shows Antivirus Firewall, Vulnerabilities, Backup, PC Tune Up & Game Booster, Parental Control, and Secure Browser. The remaining three, Identity Protection, Home Network Scanner, and has an optional BullGuard VPN. Every task can be done without leaving the main window. For example, the antivirus scan and vulnerability scan report progress right in their respective panels. I tried the playing games and the game Control on GOG played with no slow down, with same framerates before I installed any paid security suite, so that’s a good thing. Next, I played No Man Sky on Steam which this time around I got a Game Booster optimization pop -up that did not enable while playing GOG. The Framerates for No Man’s Sky did increase slightly and again no noticeable slow down while playing. BullGuard also includes a Secure Browser that offers protection against malware and keeps your payment data safe when shopping online, protects your log-in details are never hijacked and from downloading malware, safeguards your browsing history from being stolen, and defends you from fake websites. The only thing is does not allow browser extensions, so you can’t use an extension like uBlock to block ads. The feature I’m most impressed with is Identity Protection, this offers monitoring and alerts you if any of your information is on the Dark Web. Its comprehensive identity protection protects your most important information and alarms you if any suspicious activity is detected which is an absolute must have in the current climate of today’s major data breaches. So far, I like it since it delivers on what is promised, plus a few extras, and having a paid antivirus is always better than free versions, especially if you or members of the family visit shady websites.

This is my first experience using BullGuard software and it definitely is a great alternative to the main stream names. In my short time running it (about a week), it hasn’t been intrusive or slowed my system down like I’ve experienced with others. The software includes a firewall, virus protection, a web browser, parental controls and more. The control panel design is clean and easy to navigate . Even though this is only for one device, you get a lot for your money and something that is optimized for gamers. It’s nice having something that’ll protect my PC and not be a resource hog slowing my machine down when I’m gaming.

The downloading and installation of the BullGuard - Internet Security Gamer Edition was easy and straightforward. There were no long tedious system checks, etc. Registration was also easy. As an online gamer, (not serious, but serious enough to want a smooth and seamless game-play experience), I was quite interested to see how BullGuard would actually perform under gaming conditions, especially with anti-cheat. I was absolutely pleased with how well it interacted. There was absolutely no indication that BullGuard was even working. The games played flawlessly. It was great having the security of BullGuard while at the same time enjoying great game-play. But now comes the "HOWEVER." I am a vlogger and podcaster. When I attempted to load my video editor, I noticed it was taking forever. I thought there might be something awry with my wi-fi signal, so I reset the modem, and then restarted my laptop again. I attempted to open the video editor, and once again it simply did not want to open. After almost ten minutes, it finally got to the open project page. When I clicked on the project to open, well, it didn't. To verify whether it was BullGuard or not, I uninstalled the BullGuard software, and restarted my computer. The video editor worked perfectly. I reinstalled the BullGuard, and once again the video editor would not function. I have to point out in all fairness that I did not experience any noticeable issues with other installed software, only my video editor. I then contacted BullGuard via email support to see if they could offer any solutions. After a week I have still not received a response. I sincerely believe BullGuard has the potential to be a formidable competitor in the security software arena, but not yet. The lack of a responsive customer support platform makes this a product I cannot recommend...yet.

I'm usually hesitant to install antivirus software because it tends to lead to slower performance and is overall just intrusive. While Windows does a fairly good job of AV on it's own there are definitely times when it's better to have more protection. Bullguard advertises this as being a "gamer edition," which I figured was just some fluff to appeal to the RGB light crowd, but I was pleasantly surprised to find it has a trick up it's sleeve; it actually becomes dormant when it senses you're playing a game in full-screen to preserve precious memory and CPU cycles. The "Game Booster" function also implies that it will shut down other background process that may be affecting framerate drops. While I can't confirm that this is actually happening, I can confirm that there are no slowdowns to my games as a result of installing Bullguard. Installation is the usual affair. Download the installer, install and create an account. You're then presented with a dashboard of features. I immediately turned off the firewall since Windows also has a built in firewall and I didn't want to create additional issues. A couple features, like VPN and identity protection are also available at additional cost. But the included features should be all you need. So far so good with the basic antivirus functionality. I don't see any major slowdowns or other ill-effects from running Bullguard. I don't tend to visit sites that may be fishy or download strange sfotware, so I haven't run into an instance where the AV software has sprung to life to save me. Still, I have some confidence knowing it's there just in case. The other nice thing is that I have not run into any false reports when installing other software. If you're getting your games from safe sources like Steam or Origin or Epic you probably don't need something like this. In my case I'm more than happy to install this on my son's gaming rig to protect him when downloading dodgy Minecraft modules knowing that it will stay out of the way when he's gaming and won't affect performance.

Installation went without an issue on Windows 10. Program has been running for about a week with no noticeable difference in system performance on a 3 yr old Dell (was a top end gaming machine at the time). When running games you'll be asked to essentially approve them once, which is fine and expected. I didn't run into any performance issues while gaming, nor did I have any issues with games themselves, including at least one MMO (Guild Wars 2). The included browser works fine, I'm just not sure you'll get anyone to use it if they are already in the habit of using another.

So install was easy and quick and straightforward. Can’t comment on Bonus features such as VPN, etc., as there’s an extra charge for that. While playing online the antivirus would notify me that it was optimizing it, so I could only assume that it was. Gaming was running fairly smooth, not an incredible difference, but fairly smooth. While on a gaming chat, just chatting there seemed to be some lag while the antivirus was doing a full system scan. I’ll know more in time by getting lots of use of my computer and giving the antivirus a workload. For now, I’m hopeful there’s an antivirus specifically created with gamer’s in mind. I would recommend to other gamers.

I`m always hesitant changing antivirus software as most seem to bog down my computer which results in inferior performance. This software though is one that bucks that trend. Firstly, downloading the product and entering the product key was extremely quick and easy. Upon installation the user interface pops right up and is extremely clean and straightforward. Upon running all the various scans everything appeared to be on par with other competitors. However, what I was really intrigued with was the "Game Booster." I ran through a few games and the frame rates actually did slightly increase as a result of the feature closing any unnecessary background applications. I initially had assumed this was just a fluff feature that was included, but after playing more than a few hours it was definitely clear that there was a benefit and that it truly did "boost" my gaming experience.. Overall, the antivirus and internet security suite of features appeared to be on par with competitors, but the "Game Booster" feature is definitely what sets this software apart from others. I would highly suggest this software to fellow gamers that would utilize this feature.

I installed BullGuard - Internet Security Gamer Edition on my Samsung Galaxy S10. The download from the app store was quick and installed with out any problems. Answered a few questions and I was up and running quickly. The first thing I noticed when playing a game, no more pop-ups like my old Security system had asking for permission to proceed. The interface is well thought-out and easy to navigate. I also noticed an increase in speed when I turned off the previous Security System. For the money this system is well worth the investment. I would recommend this Internet Security System to family and friends.
