I'll be upfront and state that upon initial use, I was not a fan of this flosser. I felt that it was awkward to hold and use, and you don't get much runtime before having to refill the tank. After a couple more uses, I became much more comfortable with using it and found myself enjoying how quick and easy it was to use, but I still felt that it was difficult to reach my teeth towards the back of my mouth. In addition, while I did find it easier to hold towards the top half of the flosser, that did lead to me inadvertently turning it off a few times while using, which was a bit of a nuisance. That being said, this compact flosser does pack a punch and was surprisingly as powerful as my plug in one. While I'm not convinced that I would use this as my daily water flosser, I would definitely use this when traveling. (The flosser even comes with a travel pouch.) Overall the flosser does perform well, but the awkwardness of holding it and the short runtime due to water supply leaves me wanting something better for daily use. PROS -Compact size - perfect for traveling -Cordless CONS -Awkward to use - takes a bit to get use to -Short runtime between refilling water tank

The unit is compact, long usb charge once charged. Easy to fill and keep clean. Easier to use in the shower to avoid spills and mess. Very lightweight but feels quality built along with good grip ability. I do wish they would include either some other tips or at least one extra back up tip given the price, I think it should be 4.5 stars. Overall charging takes about 20-40 minutes and the charge can go for 12-15 flossing cycles, depending of course how long you actually floss. The water is easily to fill, does not spill out once filled and the base is weighted and very balance so it does not fall over or tip over. I love that it is waterproof so flossing is a breeze with no mess inside your shower. The usb charger is ok but the cord is pretty short. The charger also has its own warranty and will be replaced if it fails for whatever reason. I do not particularly like the black color but that is what I have and so it is ok, I think other more bright colors would be a real plus by the manufacturer to entice more buyers that like colors.

    A fine Portable Water Flosser

The Boost Oral water flosser is a fine portable water flosser that perform the job it is designed for well. The unit comes with a classic tip (a Perio Tip and an Ortho tip are available as accessories), and a charger (USB with power adapter). The device has 3 modes - Standard, Turbo, and Pulse – each has its uses. Standard is recommended to begin with, and Turbo is the most powerful for deeper cleaning. I did not find turbo to be too powerful. When the unit gets in need of charging, a red plus sign appears to let you know this. Using the device multiple times, I have found the unit to be well suited to do the job that it is designed to do, and the modes are each useful. Standard is the typical usage; the Turbo is used when you need extra cleaning power, and the Pulse mode is a massaging/light duty mode. While the device is useful, a slightly larger tank would be useful. The device typically needs just over one tank to fully cover the mouth. The other challenge is that the tank, while small is more than a mouthful and thus you need to consistently switch the unit off to be able to spit out the water and avoid splashing the bathroom with water. It is for this reason the manufacturer recommends using it in the shower. Pros: Cordless convenience, useful modes, tank is removable Cons: Tank is small, but more than a mouthful

BURST WATER FLOSSER - COLOR: BLACK This water flosser replaces an older unit that finally gave up the ghost. In between having a working water flosser, I had forgotten how much “extra” material a water flosser can flush out even after brushing with a sonic toothbrush. The Burst Water Flosser does not disappoint, and has several quick intensity settings with the push of a button on the handle. It comes with a single “standard” tip – and would have been nice to have a single sample of the other specialized tips to be able to choose the one that works best for me. Other tips are “Perio” with a smaller nozzle for deep pockets and “Ortho” for those with braces (not needed) – which I am sure floss differently but I’m not disposed to go and buy them to try them at the moment. The standard tip that comes with the water flosser works just fine for me. Battery charge seems to last a long time – I have been using mine for 2 weeks and still no need to recharge. The charger itself is proprietary with a very tiny charging plug – so take care not to lose the charger. The unit is waterproof, which is nice since it is around the sink. Doesn’t take up too much room, similar to an electric toothbrush. The water tank is easy to fill, just pop up the plug and quickly refill. Understandably, the water tank is small and part of the handle. I can get a good “go around” with one tank, and usually quickly refill to complete a good flossing. The alternative to frequent refills is to get a “tank model” that sits by the sink with a separate water tank, but I have found those less convenient to use with the tubing connection, and those units take up a good bit of space by the sink. The need to refill a time or two is not a problem, and much easier and quicker than dealing with a separate water tank. Overall the Burst Water Flosser meets the expectations, doesn't take up a lot of space, and no worries about getting it wet around the sink. Greetings from Central Georgia!

Water flossers have been around for years, and range from very cheap ones that use AA batteries all the way up to models costing well over a hundred dollars. The Burst Water Flosser is in the middle, being a battery powered cordless model. It comes in a very cool box that opens almost like a fancy wine bottle box. My model is black, but you can also get it in Rose Gold or White. At under a pound It’s not really heavy, but since the water reservoir is built in, it’s too large in my opinion for children’s hands; most adults shouldn’t have an issue with it. It comes partially charged, but you can top it off; a full charge from zero take a few hours but will last a long time, but unfortunately it uses a proprietary charger (boo) and not USB-C. Once charged, you fill up the .12 quart water reservoir with cold or warm water (NOT hot per the instructions), and push the one included standard tip into the top. It comes with only one standard tip, unfortunately, though two other varied tips can be bought separately. Long-pressing the power button turns it on, and long pressing multiple times will rotate it between a pulse settings, low, and high options. Once you choose your option, a quick single press on the main button turns the spray on/off. A few observations: If you have never used a water flosser before – as a whole, they are messy. VERY messy. You have to practice on how to hold it in your mouth and lean over the sink in just the right way in order to avoid water going literally everywhere, and I’ve never really mastered this. This model seems to be a little worse at it than others due to how powerful the spray is, even on low setting. They say it’s waterproof and can be used in a shower – my personal advice would be that if doing so, don’t stand directly under the water. Stand back a bit or move the shower head away – we ARE talking about a lithium-ion battery in this, and I would avoid direct water flowing over the whole unit just in case (just my personal opinion). That being said, due to how the water does go everywhere when using it, the shower stall might be a better place to use it. Due to the smaller reservoir, you will have to fill it up a couple of times per session. My gums are “semi-sensitive”. Unfortunately, I found all of the three settings to be far too powerful on the Burst Flosser, and for me, they were all actually painful to use. I would LOVE to have seen a true “low” setting that is literally about half the strength of the current low setting on this unit – believe me, it would still be strong enough to floss your teeth. I let a visiting relative try it and she too, found it to be too powerful for her liking, though she agreed that yes, this certainly does work! As a side and hopefully humorous note, she said she put the Burst on it’s high setting and was able to blast-clean some grout in the shower she was using! So it may have other uses besides flossing due to it’s power! Everyone’s mileage will vary on the Burst as each person’s mouth, teeth, and gums are different. For me, I have to give this three stars because of how “too powerful” the spray is even at it’s lowest setting, causing discomfort in my case. Also, for including only one tip for the price, and having a proprietary charger. It’s not a bad device by any means, is handy, and well built, but could in my opinion, be improved upon.

This is the first at home water flosser that I have ever owned or tested. That said, after you get used to it, the Burst - Water Flosser is cool and efficient. Upon receiving it, I at once opened it up and went to town. The unit had about three days’ worth of life on the battery and since recharging I have yet to drain the battery now at almost five days of use. The first experience was just that an experience. I do not have sensitive teeth and gums. I would however encourage adding lukewarm water for your first experience, instead of the ice-cold tap water I used. The jet of water shooting into my mouth caught me by surprise and I ended up spitting water all over my bathroom countertop. After a few minutes of trial and error I got the hang of it. From there, I did actually scan the QRL code on the back of the box and found some helpful tips and tricks while just perusing around the website. As well as how to rotate between the three preset setting. To do so, all you need to do is long hold the power button until it allows you to cycle through each. The first one which is the most intense is my favorite but there is a regular and pulse mode too. I also recommend using the pulse mode for your first time if it is your first time with such a device. But real quick back to the box. The device is made well enough. It does not feel like the most formidable thing ever constructed but it is made well enough to work and be waterproof. The box though, is pretty neat. My wife and I are trying hard to repurpose it because it is too nice to just throw into the recycle bin. The water reservoir is just about big enough to use for a single brushing on the high mode so there is a bunch of refilling, but it is not a big deal. I really like this unit and we are actively looking to purchase the tips for braces since both of our children are currently in braces.

My old water flosser needed to be replaced and I was excited to try something new. This is not your average flosser. The packaging was cool and very easy to open, no plastic to cut. It comes with a Quick Start guide, USB charger and a cable plus the floss attachment. First impressions were excellent, I love the rubberized feel to it, definitely not something that's going to slip out of my hands and it's quite sturdy. According to the instructions, it comes fully charged which is a nice tough. Attaching the tip to it was simple, as was filling it up with water. I used to keep my old flosser at my sink, but this one is water resistant and they actually encourage you to use in the shower, which makes sense since that makes less of a mess. The water reservoir is considerably smaller than my last flosser which makes it more portable and easier to grip, but it's a tad annoying to have to fill it up after each use. There are 3 settings; Standard, Turbo and Pulse. Turbo was too strong for my gums, pulsing felt good, but I definitely prefer the standard setting. The power is outstanding for a small device, it left my teeth and gums feeling clean and perfectly free of debris. The battery life has been excellent so far and my mouth feels great, I would definitely recommend this product.

This is my second water flosser I have owned and unfortunately this unit does not quite fit the bill for a proper flossing. I have used this over my sink as well as in the shower and while the water does shoot out at a nice stream, the reservoir runs out VERY quickly. In order to floss the upper and lower gums and teeth, it was necessary to refill the flosser every 15 seconds plus or minus a few. I tried the flosser on all the settings and with the same relative amount of needing to refill it. Simply too time consuming to do this and in the shower took even longer as you have to fill the reservoir from the shower stream coming out, not the sink which was much faster. I also found that the strength of the stream of water, even on its highest setting was lacking in oomph. The good parts - I found it was very ergonomical and easy to hold and manipulate the unit. The head rotates to get the best angle to the hard to reach spots in the back of the gum. The packaging was wonderful and the brochure it comes with, while gimmicky, is quite clever. All in all this product is a good attempt at a water flosser but has some difficult holdups to highly recommend it.

    Powerful Portable Water Flosser

I wanted to try switching to a water flosser so that I'm gentler on my gums. My oldest got a WaterPik Water Flosser from their Orthodontist, but it ends up being kinda messy around the sink as it tends to spray water everywhere, especially as she tries to spray around all her braces hardware. So I was looking for a solution that had the same or better effectiveness but provided a less mess around my bathroom sink. The Burst Water Flosser seems to address my concerns. In the box, you get the flosser handle a water reservoir, a classic tip, a proprietary USB cord and wall adapter, a travel bag and a couple instruction manuals. Theses instruction manuals are a little fun. They take a little more light-hearted way of explaining the assembly, and use of the Water Flosser. At first glance, the handle is huge, but as you think about it, it has to contain a battery, water reservoir and a pump all in one manageable handle. By the time I was halfway in my first use, the handle felt more comfortable. To fill the reservoir, you lift the rubber flap and add water into the hole. Once filled, you secure the flap and you're ready to go. It has 3 modes, Turbo, Standard and Pulse. It's recommended you start with Standard and work yourself up to Turbo if you're so inclined. One of the drawbacks seems to be the ability to shift modes. You need to turn off the handle, wait for the light to stop pulsing then you can hold the power button down until it cycles through the modes with the indicator light before you let go to select your mode. Then push the button again to turn on the unit. In contrast, the WaterPik my kid uses can vary the power level on the fly. The Standard mode seems to be plenty powerful, the unit does automatically shut off though if it feels that the tip is being blocked. But another tap on the power button and it's back to working. What seems to surprise most people is that the reservoir doesn't hold as much water as you might think. Though it makes sense, the WaterPik can make it through a cleaning session without a problem because it has a huge reservoir, but to keep the Burst Flosser portable, it holds probably about 30 seconds of water and then you have to refill it. I generally need about 3-4 refills to floss my teeth. Since I'm using it in the shower, it's not a big deal to refill it and if I splash it's all caught in my shower. One of the marked improvements over a WaterPik is the lack of water hammering. The pump on the WaterPik pulses in such a way that the water in the supply line to its head, hammers along the way, and tends to tug the supply line causing you to lose aim accuracy. Since there is no supply line that you're holding on the Burst Water Flosser, this hammering is absent. The pressure on the Burst Water Flosser seems to be on par or maybe even better than the WaterPik. One of the problems of the Burst Water Flosser is that you need to hold the handle upright to make sure it has a steady supply of water. If you hold it upside down, the pump only has enough water for a few seconds. Charging is pretty easy. There is a circular divot on the back of the handle that looks like you need to puncture it, but it's actually hiding a silicone valve so when it's not charging, it's water tight. As I mentioned above, the package comes with just a single classic tip. There is a Perio Tip and Ortho Tip available for purchase from their store. These are proprietary tips and the WaterPik tips cannot be installed into the Burst handle. If you subscribe to their program, you save $1 off each tip and they mail you a new tip every so often. This subscription has the added benefit of providing a lifetime warranty on the handle as long as you have an active subscription. Generally, it's a pretty well thought out system. After using it for a handful of days, I think it ended up being an easier add to my routine than I previously thought and it makes me feel like my teeth and gums are cleaner.

This is my first water flosser so bare that in mind. There are no included instructions, however there is a QR code directing you to the Burst website to learn quickly how to use the device. Set up is easy, install the water tank and the water floss head, charge the Burst water flosser fully before the first use and you’re ready to go. If you’re familiar with how to use a water flosser you should do well. I personally made a huge mess because I accidentally turned on the flosser outside of my mouth causing water to go all over the bathroom. That was definitely user error! Press and hold the button until it toggles to the setting you want and then push the power button again to start the water flowing out of the flosser. Move along the gum line between teeth to dislodge any food particles. The flow of water works well and my teeth felt nice and flossed after I use the Burst water flosser. I find that using the water flosser in the shower is the best way to minimize a water mess. As I use the water flosser more I feel more confident with it.

I hate flossing. Enter the Burst Water Flosser. This handy little device has me using it already FAR more often than I flossed before getting it. The packaging and instructions are maybe a little too silly for my tastes, but it was still fun and informative. Using the Burst is very easy. charge it, fill it, attached the tip, and fire it up! The instructions recommend you not use hot water. I will also note that you should avoid cold water, too. Lukewarm is just about right for this sort of use. I tend to prefer the normal setting (there's one more intense and one more massage-oriented), but all settings work as expected. Since it as water-proof and cordless, you can use it wherever you want. Just note that you will need a place to spit or otherwise expel water from your mouth. The directions had me a little concerned that it'd make too much of a mess at the bathroom sink, but it was not a problem at all. Of course, the shower also works well. My only issue with the shower is that the water tended to be too warm and the shower head made it a bit tricky to refill the reservoir. for those reasons, I prefer to use the Burst at the sink. It does a good job cleaning between my teeth and is far more comfortable for me than conventional flossing. My only complaint is that I wish the reservoir were larger. I get about 20 seconds of use before I have to refill, and it takes me about a minute and a half to thoroughly floss with the Burst. All in all, I'm very pleased and really appreciate this product. It has given me a lot of encouragement about my gum health.

I picked this up because I have always been a fussy flosser with tight teeth. I already have a plug in water flosser with multiple attachments and a large water reservoir. While that one works, it is large and clunky and takes too much time to setup, clean, take apart, store somewhere inconspicuous, etc. So with this burst brand it seemed like everything I wanted. Small, wireless, easy to use. At least on first view. Upon use of this item it actually is quite a pain. First off in the box is the flosser assembly, a charging usb cable and wall plug, a standard floss tip for the assembly, and a carrying case. It also contains an instruction manual that was designed by what appears to be children with catchy pictures and catch phrases. I’m sure perhaps this stuff might appeal to the younger generation but it was actually quite annoying to read through. I would have preferred more straight forward instructions. Its a teeth flosser not a children's book. My main issues are with the item itself. I wanted something small and portable, but still effective. While it is small and portable, its still quite large. When its full of water, its clunky and is hard to use inside your mouth. And this leads me to the next issue. While it is “large” still, it holds barely any water. A full reserve of water on normal speed lasts about 10 seconds then runs out. This cleans about 5 teeth quickly, but if you are being thorough then less than that. So after it quickly runs out of water, you immediately have to fill it back up to continue use. Super annoying. A full clean requires anywhere between 6-8 refills I would say. At that point I’d rather pull out my plug in water flosser and use that. At least with that I fill it up only once. Overall I would not recommend this. In theory it’s a good idea but doesn’t fit the bill of effective in my opinion.

I have used two other water flossers and this is the one I like the most for two reasons. First, it is simple to use. It's as easy as filling it up with water (which takes 10 seconds), choosing the mode (by holding in the power button), and then hitting the button to start flossing. It's that easy. The second reason I really like this is because of the size. First, it is great that it is a portable / wireless flosser because it takes up less room and can easily be stored and used in the shower or taken on vacation. And second, the reservoir size of this is smaller than some of the other brands, which is actually a benefit because it isn't so bulky but yet holds enough water to finish flossing in one tank. Regarding the three modes (turbo, standard and pulse), the standard mode worked well for me. I typically floss my teeth daily with regular floss so I didn't expect any issues with this, but I have to admit that the pulse mode was a little intense for me and caused a small amount of bleeding. I would probably get used to it, but think I'll stick with the standard mode going forward. Overall, I am pleased with the price and performance of this flosser and would recommend it.

This Burst Water Flosser is just fun to use! While "big" in size, it's still comfortable enough to hold onto and maneuver to get the job done. Setup was easy, especially since the water flosser comes partly charged, so you can get going right away. Always a good idea to read over the included fun and informative Quick Start Guide and User's Manual. The people at Burst even make reading these booklets fun and entertaining too, with humor and friendly graphics. Now I will say, that considering your "splash zone" is super important. I was overeager and just 'went for it' after unboxing. Water splashed all over my counter, and I stood there laughing at myself. LOL After cleaning up, I discovered that pressing the power/mode buttons was a bit tricky, but you soon get the hang of it. The Pulse setting was the one that's worked best for me. Turbo and Standard mode were just too forceful. But then, maybe I've just got more delicate gums. What I like most about this water flosser is that it really gets in there to those hard-to-reach tight spaces between your teeth along the gum line. Yet does so in a gentle way, instead of having to deal with the ickyness of string floss where you can accidentally be too rough and end up with bleeding gums. That's never good. I'd recommend filling the reservoir with warm-ish water rather than cold. To me, that's much more comfortable and encourages me to want to use my Burst Flosser every day as part of my dental cleaning routine. Making sure to clean the water reservoir on a regular basis is a good idea too, not only for helping to keep your Burst Water Flosser working in tip top shape, but also for obvious hygenic reasons. And as far as that goes, you can register your Burst Water Flosser online and signup for the 'Refreshment Plan' subscription to get a new replacement tip sent to you every 24 weeks. Pretty cool. There are two other tips you can choose - Ortho / Perio - besides the Classic tip which comes standard with your flosser. I'm having a blast using my new Burst Water Flosser! However, I do find myself tempted to squirt my husband with it as if it were a 'water gun' toy. Heh. But that's not it's intended use, so no. Don't do that. The instructions even caution about that. It's a terrific dental tool, though.

    Bulky hard to use

Bulky and hard to use water floss unit that only holds enough water to partially floss. I was really stoked when I got this thing but it’s just not that great. The on button is easily triggered and if you do that while it flossing you have a big mess. Also it’s not the easiest to fill up. Also it’s loud and even with the straw pointed at my teeth it is difficult to spit out the overflow. Overall I am not happy with this unit but it’s expensive so I’ll keep using it. I do not recommend to anyone older as it’s difficult to use. Because it’s black the water spots stick out on it. The straw is hard to remove sometimes and while attempting to remove it I’ve turned the unit on and made a mess on my mirrors. I had such high hopes for this things but flat out it’s a massive floss unit that comes in a box the size of a shoe box. I was willing to overlook the bulk with practically but everything is just wrong here. I almost just trashed it but again it’s not that cheap so I figured maybe it will grow on me. It does do the floss job though and I’m grateful for at least that. I hope this helps!

The Burst Flosser is absolutely amazing. If you want your teeth to feel like you just got back from the dentist this it! I am the person who loves the dentist and getting my teeth cleaned. I wore braces when I was younger, so I take care of my teeth. I make sure to brush and floss both morning and night. I wish I would have had the Burst Flosser so much sooner. I absolutely love this so much, and I am so happy with it. My hygienist and dentist are going to be even more happy with me now. They always say that I am a great patient because I constantly brush and floss my teeth. That just means my appointments are easy and they aren't picking on my teeth for very long at all. They basically clean my teeth and shine them up. The Burst Flosser travels well, it comes with a handy case. I took it with me on an out of town trip I just made. It didn't take up much room in my suitcase at all. I just highly recommend this. You will be very satisfied with this purchase. I am considering this for gifts for family.

This cleans tooth very well only if it operates more than 8 days.
