Clean appearance

This cover does a great job of concealing the hole the cable runs thru. I used a bit of silicone to keep out bugs etc. and placed this cover over the outside. Looks great and has plenty of room for extra cables if I ever need to add more to our home network. Well worth the $5.

It gives it a clean, finished look. Works great with most mounts. However, I do have a Samsung mount that is super-thin and the TV sits about 1/4 inch from the wall. This wall plate does not work well with that type of mount. If you have a mount where the TV sits that close to the wall you should consider an inset wall plate.
