A: I’ve installed a half dozen of these between my house and last apartment. I’ve compared them to many more expensive (and complicated) alternatives, and these have always been my choice. No junction box needed, no cutting a massive square in your wall required, and not hard to install. They come with drywall anchors and mounting hardware. but to install them easily you’ll need a few things. - Power drill (preferably) or Power screwdriver - 1/2” bore bit (for the hole your wires will run through) - Small sized drill bit (to drill pilot holes for your anchors) - Hammer (to tap the anchors into the pilot holes) - Screwdriver You could also use a little jigsaw to cut a hole in the wall, but I’ve found that a bore bit is more controlled. You can use a bit slighter larger or smaller to fit your needs, but 1/2” has been a good general size for mounting a TV in my experience. Your end result will look like this (see image) It’s actually really easy - Good luck!
Q: How wide/high is the actual opening for the cables?
A: The cable opening 1" wide by 1" deep. It provides plenty of room for the cable, or multiple cables, to pass through. Works well and looks nice.
Q: Do you have one that a 3 prong plug can come through it’s to small
A: the opening on the face plate is actually over 1 1/2" the curved part comes off also so that you can push the plug thru without any problems. highly recommend.
Q: What is length and width of this plate?
A: it is standard 2x4 single plug with and height.
