This product definitely covers the hole made in the wall for your wires to pass through. It is one piece so if you have your device plugged in, you will need to disconnect it when installing it. This definitely appears to be mainly for multiple cords to go through as one cord will make it look like a giant scoop is popping out.

I was looking for something to allow me to pass multiple HDMI and Ethernet cables through a wall between the finished and unfinished parts of my basement. This works perfectly for that application and is way cheaper than getting individual jacks for each cable.

Could be happier with this pass-through-plate. I did not have to pass any power cables through it, so can't speak to the troubles other have had, but for hdmi and Ethernet and component cables, the snap on/ off cover is ideal!

If you don't mind cutting holes in your wall, these are great for hiding cables from a wall mounted TV. The only drawback is they are relatively narrow, so they aren't perfect for more complicated setups that require a lot of cabling.

Exactly what I needed to hide the cables behind the wall. Really like to clean look and that will do the job.
