It is hard to keep it clean all the way to the top. If your kitchen is not 'open' and you dont have open/floating shelves on the sides, dont buy it. Select the other enclosed type. It is very difficult to install it. I had someone doing it for me, ended up costing me a ton to get it installed.

Hard to install Hood

Your wall has to be 100% leveled or the hood chimney will buckle and warp. Two installers tried for multiple hours and it is still buckling. Not their fault. Also , hard to Install between two cabinets .not a lot of room

Motor does not last more than 2 years.

In less than two years the motor stop working because it is worn out and thus needs to be replaced. Parts does not last!

Nice unit

The bulb is easy to replace though. It could possibly be a wiring issue but I hired a professional to install it. Everything else seems to work great.
