So much quicker than the broiler

I didn’t know that perfection in toasting would be out if the box. So far it delivers delightful frozen waffles and perfect toasted bagels. Even tells you how to insert bagel. Love, love this appliance!

Looks good but it ends there. Has a flimsy and cheap feel to it. Wish we would have keep our old Black and Decker. It felt so much more sturdier. For the price of the Cafe you would think it would be a far superior product. Disappointing.

* Easier to use than a mini toaster oven, and more importantly, easier to clean
* Toasts quickly
* Sturdy with its rubber feet
* Easy to empty crumbs from the pop-out crumb tray.
* The toaster holds the bread in place by condensing the sides onto the bread when the lever is depressed.
* It allows to toast ONE-SIDED pieces of bread (ie. bagels, hamburger buns). Keeping in mind the toasted section should face outward.

Overpriced

I would not recommend it at least you need to match with other café appliances. Works the same as other cheaper brands. I did not notice any difference. My previous cheap toaster had a "ding" alarm. This one doesn't have it.

GE CAFE Toaster Oven Top Notch product

Now if I could find the toaster oven. This toaster is top quality and does not screw up the toast by over browning it. I love it does bagels and frozen toast, poptarts, and other items.

It does “pop” the toast up which is a bit noisier than our old failed-to-soon Breville.

Beautiful Looking, lack of features / uneven toast

It's somewhat taller than my previous toaster, but not a huge issue. The bigger issue is the uneven toasting on each side of the bread. It also seems to toast the top of the bread way faster than the bottom. In addition, this toaster does not have the lift to check feature like other toasters on the market....I knew that, but I do miss it. I'm still debating to return the item since it is a costly toaster mainly for looks.

We'd recommend making sure that you're selecting a lower setting next time if your toast is too dark and a higher setting if your toast is too light.
