When i first played cod4, i was literally blown away on live! My friend told me about Cod5 and we played a couple rounds against eachother on splitscreen on system link. I was hooked! Unlike MOH games and such, this game delivers a more 'real' feeling of you actually being there. The music is awesome and there is much more cooler guns to choose from than in cod4. Yes, leveling up is a pain in the butt, but as you get passed 25, you will be better and kick major butt. trust me. Another negative about this game is the juggernaut and mp40 killing. the mp40 is simply the most powerful gun in the game. no doubt about it. This is by far the BEST game i have ever played! to this very day, i play non-stop! BUY THIS GAME! you wil regret nothing.

Another addition to the series, Call of Duty: WaW has much more to add to its predecessors. More perks, including Flak Jacket (reduces explosion damage inflicted upon you), Bouncing Betties (like claymores, but a circular blast radius) and many more. Also, there are a ton more weapons to choose from, including a flamethrower. Being an avid Call of Duty 4 player, I had trouble adjusting to WaW; there were many more semi-automatic guns (one bullet each trigger press). However, I have found that WaW has bigger maps, therefore there are more places to hide, as opposed to COD4, where there were only 3-4 places to watch an area of the map. Also, there are 65 levels until prestige instead of 55.

First thing first. This game is not Call of Duty 4:Modern Warfare. It is however, a superb shooter with a decent campaign and the multi-player is just as fun as COD4. I play this more than COD4 now because I do think the multiplayer maps are better. The guns are decent, but people do use a lot of cheap tactics (ex. MP40 and juggernaut). But as you get better you realize there are many ways to counter the lesser skilled players. COD4 is definitely a better game. That doesnt take anything away from World at War though. WaW is still a great game with amazing visuals, voice work, and controls. I will continue to play this until Modern Warfare 2 is released at the end of this year.

To make a long story short... AWESOME GRAPHICS!!! ADDICTING ONLINE PLAY!!! FUN MINI GAME!!! GREAT WEAPONS!!! BEST COD GAME YET!!!!!!!! GET THIS GAME IF YOU LOVE OR LIKE COD!!!

Call of Duty World at War was the best game I have played. It is one of those games that dont get boring. My friends and I love playing the zombie levels-we alwas try to beat our last score-also the wepons are very realistic and it is alwas fun sniping your friend in the head from acros the map and the dogs are a sick add when playing. Overall it the best so far and I try to get my friend to buy it but he wont-ill keep trying-but it great and I wont stop playing also my friend wont let me stop untill he snips me but that not happaning. But if ur reading this and think about buying it... YOU SHOULD!!!!!

if you get a game it sould be this one the grafics all allsome and story line is cool but it is realy cool on live big maps tanks and lots of weps GET THIS GAME.

I played the BETA and now have the full version. This game was awesome in the BETA and is even better in the full version. Maps are cool and graphics as well. If you're a COD fan like myself, then you will be happy with this game. If you're not a COD fan, then this should make you a fan. New features include the ability to drive tanks as well as sending in attack dogs after a 7 kill streak. Also new is the ability to play 4 player online campaign mode via XBOX Live. If you haven't picked up this game yet, go get it. See you on the battlefield!

Great online game. Very good integration of tanks. N*** (Apparently its censored) zombies is alot of fun, but can get boring after a little while. The campaign can get a little wierd. Im still working on it, but from what I have done, I dont really like how it switches from western to eastern from over and over. It can get confusing. I wish they took one company or something and followed it through the war. Maybe from landing on D-Day to falling of Berlin. Its a great game though. I do recommend this if you have played COD4.

Well, Zombies is great, [If you're gonna get a map pack, get 2 and 3. those one's are the best]. i like multiplayer too. The campain is easy, story is o.k. Some noobs play this all the time which get's old when you're playing multiplayer. I can't wait for modern warfare 2. to be honest, call of duty 4 was better. this game is much better when you have xbox live. I've had a lot of fun with this game, but if you're thinking about buying a call of duty game, wait for modern warfare 2 to come out. Peace Out!

If you liked cod 4, then you will like this game. it is made by treyarch, which is the alternate team to infinity ward, who made cod 4 and cod 2. treyarch made cod 3 and call of duty big red one. (they have a thing for weird names). The multiplayer is based on the same game engine as the call of duty 4 one, so expect all the same features, like create a class and perks. one difference though, is the addition of more classes for higher prestiges, and an extra perk for vehicles. The multiplayer is fun, but some of the guns feel underpowered compared to call of duty 4's modern weapons. the mp40 is probably way overpowered though. my only real complaint about multiplayer is that there are a lot of unfair glitches, like getting under the map, which can make it impossible to win. also, tanks in this game are WAY to powerful. it takes 2 shots from a bazooka and one grenade to kill them in normal team deathmatch. also, the flamethrower is not fun in multiplayer because it has bad range. but the dual barreled shotgun is fun. also. shooting peoples limbs off is satisfying. The campaign is fun too, but not as realistic or believable as cod4's. (BUT JACK BAUER IS IN IT LOL). also, the zombie multiplayer mode is fun. you unlock this by beating the campaign, and you and your firends can take on hoards of undead (they wont let me say it but its spelled N*A*Z*I*S). Overall this game is fun, a must have for any FPS fan.

This game like the one before it was great and deserves a Game of Year title. I like how you can do 2 player co-op but would be better to have 4 players. You can have 4 player co-op if you have an online account and do t that way. The maps are great and also the guns. A nice added thing is a flamethrower and ability to use tanks. Online is also good and the modes are the same as in Call of Duty 4. Also you can revive people in this game. Great game but I would wait til it goes down a bit.

I was just playing the Xbox LIVE beta verision and it was almost just like the old one. Almost the same ranks, prestiges and game variants. Only things different are the maps and weapons. Not a lot. But just cause the Xbox LIVE is OK doesn't mean the storyboard baseline won't be good. Nobody knows if it's goog, great or plain bad. We'll have to find out when it comes out.

This game is the newest call of duty and its the best one. Great story line of being Russian and American, facing Japanese and German officers and armies. The graphics are unbelievably realistic with the shadows and leaves and trees, and even water has realistic movements. The weapons are endless from Small guns to flamethrowers, trucks to tanks. Multiplayer is great with a vast amount of levels and people. This is the greatest Army series to date, enough said.

COD:WaW is a great next release for the COD series. It is almost exactly like COD4 since it is built on that engine. So, the controls are exactly the same. The awesome responsivness you are used to in COD4 is there. The weapons are older since it is a throw back to WW2, but they meet the needs of silenced weapons, land mines and multiple perk combinations. If you loved COD4 as much as I did and you fine with a WW2 game, then you'll love COD: WaW.

People say this game is going to suck so bad because it goes back to WWII. But the guns are better, the online is more fun, the flamethrower perk is awesome, and the career is extremely fun. I thought that this game would never top COD4, but I was definitely wrong about that. It is a million times better and I will play this game for a long time. Everyone that I know loves it. Will make a great Christmas gift for any Call of Duty gamer.

First I want to say that I am a diehard Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare fan, so that may corrupt my review of this. The campaign for CoD: WaW is good and the controls are the same as Modern Warfare's so they are good. My main problem with it is the online. It just isn't as good as Modern Warfare's. I don't like any of the online maps.

COD:Waw is the better pick of the two. People that say COD:4 is better are probably sniping someone right now because they are scared of a little action. I'll admit that the spawning system in Waw is flawed and a sometimes you are spawn killed. DRINK WATER! The only reason that is happening is because someone on the opposing team is pressing the action and kicking your teams butt! It is good to make some friends that regularly play this game and that you can rely on to have your back. That way you are never playing with a bunch of nublets and 10 year olds that are more worried about sniping and shooting nub tubes. You have to learn what perks and weapons work best with what maps. That is why the prestige system is so much better. The more classes you can create, the more options you have to switch to mid-match. But if you are playing by yourself, they have mercenary match options where there are no parties allowed. COD:Waw keeps the pace going in each match. Rewards for kills are also alot better in this game becasue there are few places you can hide from a pack of dogs. Nub snipers never win in this game, if you're team has more than 1 or 2 snipers, get out of there because you are about to get beat!

I've played the other CoD games so when this one came out I thought why not try it? So I bought it and it was worth every penny. Everything about it is great, I think this campaign in this game is better than the others. Your able to play as both the Russian army and the American. I think the Russian campaign is the best though. If your reading this review to see if this game will be good go out and buy it ASAP you won't regret it.

To me, this is one of the most exciting franchises to hit the Xbox 360 console. Call of Duty 2 was where it all started for me. I remember that was before I even had an Xbox and i was stuck playing on the computer. I didn't know what to expect when I began playing but I was hooked almost instantly by it's action and heart pounding intensity. The reason I'm refering to Call of Duty 2 is because this new Call of Duty: World at War will take place in World War II. I've read alot of complaints about that fact, but I cannot be more excited. Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare was in my opinion the best Call of Duty title to date, and the game engine used in that will be the same engine you see in Call of Duty: World at War. I've seen gameplay on this new thrilling title, and for the first time in any Call of Duty game there will be weapons in which you will never get bored with. Take for instance, the flamethrower! Yes, I said it, a flamethrower will be present in this amazing title. I watched a gameplay vid on this flamethrower, and I was impressed. This guy, torches a field and burns up a tree while soliders run around on fire dying, screaming, it's complete brilliance. The AI looks so intelligent it's disgusting. I couldn't take it all in immediately. They move like you and I. They hide, they ambush, they flank. I'm sure if you watch the gameplay videos you will be more impressed than my short and unsatasfying review. Please, I urge you to get this game. If you are going to spend $350.00 on a console, you might as well get the best it has to offer. Read my review on Fallout 3 as well. That is another title you won't want to miss!

Well, to begin with, if you are looking for an online shooter, buy Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. This game is good, the campaign is great, but very short. The graphics are a lot more animated than i like, but that wasnt too bad. Online play is not very good though. The artillery strike is just an airstrike, but shot as if the person with the cannon is drunk. Dogs are very annoying and unlike the helicopter, you cant hide from them. The weapons are good, especially if you like WW2 based games. Sound is also good as usual. In my eyes though, Treyarch did a terrible job designing the online play in WaW. you constantly spawn and are immediately killed, and there are way too many glitches. Also, it had zombie mode as well. that is the best feature of this game. you can play alone (not recommended) or with other people via xbox live. Overall, its a good game, but definitely a step down from CoD4: MW.
