The manufacturer warranty only applies through purchases made through the companies website. I've had this product for 9 months and used it maybe five times. Enjoyed it while it worked but last night I smelt an electrical smell from the control unit. After letting it sit as recommended in the manual the unit did not work. If you do buy this make sure you get the Best Buy warranty so you are covered.

Went through troubleshooting process from manual, contacting the manufacturer and they refused to help in any way because I bought it from Best Buy and not directly through them.

The heat is real and does the job. My wife got sauna bags online and we used them instead of leaving all the sweat there. I like it.
