    Amazing pans

These Calphalon (Newell Brands) pans are amazing! Out previous set of pans were middle of the road, and I'd always have issues with uneven heat and food sticking to the pan, even though it was a Teflon pan. after cooking once with these pans, I noticed a huge difference. When putting oil in the pan, it wouldn't stick to it, where my old pans would have some slow stick, or legs, to it. The food is evenly cooked, and no hot spots. The covers are flat, so you don't get any extra space between the food and the cover, but normally you don't have food to the tip top of the pan anyway. There are only 2 covers for 3 pans of that size, so if you need to cover all 3, then you're out of luck. I kept one of my kids from my prior set, so I'd have a cover for all 3 at once. Maybe the manufacturer assumed you would only use 2 of the same size at a time? I also wish the set had one slightly larger base and surface area, but maybe that's me, based on how I cooked before. The set takes up much less space than before, and I can now use an additional 3/4 of my cabinet. The stacked height for the larger pans is 7 3/4" tall, and the smaller sized pans are 6 3/4". If you put the side by side, they take up a total width of 18", and the handles can interlock. See photo with tape measure. I would absolutely recommend these to a friend. We are not a big "cooking" family, and are using the mail order food service, and the difference in using these pans vs our old pans make the food better, and cooking it easier. I did notice that it gets hot and stays hot longer. Turning the temp down on the stove will not be an immediate change to the pan. That is not a flaw, just an awareness thing. I also like that these are oven safe and dishwasher safe AND metal spatula safe. I've never been able to cut meat well with a plastic spatula in a pan, so being able to use a metal spatula on these pans without damaging them is great!! I can now cook meals on the stove top, and put it right in the oven for a last stage broil or toasting, whereas before, I had to transfer the food to a glass casserole dish to be able to do that step. Plus that's an extra dish to hand wash. Not anymore!! I love these pans. Great material and weight to them too.

I did not realize the wonderful goodies that were meticulously, well- packed inside the box. Do not throw that box away because it is full of instructions and pictures on how the pans should be stacked and stored, as well as, what utensils are proper to cook with. Since this is titled as the space saving cookware, the first thing that I did after unpacking the many layers of pans packed in the big and heavy box, I re-stacked the pans and their lids to that are pictured with this review. After that, I put one of the frying pans on a gas burner at medium to medium-high temperature to see if the pan's handle or the lid used to cover that pan would get hot with the gas going. I left the pan on the burner near 5 minutes and the riveted handles were cool to the touch which makes them so useful and handy, states that the stainless steel handles are stay cool while cooking. . So, we have a gas cooktop, but writing on the box states that these pans are good for gas, electric, and glass top stoves- note that induction is not mentioned. Bottom line, it is fun to cook with these stunning pots and pan. Just a side note, I also have a pot rack hanging centered over my island and from an aesthetic point of view, the look with these pans is professional and dramatic. Although the box says that metallic utensils can be used with this non-stick surface, in an effort to be careful, I did not try using metal utensils; I am using both wood, plastic, and rubber all successfully. I only got this cookware within the last week and so I have not had enough time or use to determine how they will hold up over time, heat, and use. The handles are riveted on so I do not think that will ever be an issue. However, I wonder how the outside and underneath side of the pans will wear as they might start oxidizing from the carbon thrown off by the gas heat at high temps and force. That is what I do not know now at this early junction. Although I have not put them in the oven yet, per the box, they are safe in there up to temps of 450 degrees. The pan heats thoroughly and evenly. Give it a chance

Let me open with a little history... The wife and I have been together for 27 years, married for 20. Having young and growing careers and even younger but faster growing kids, we have classically been somewhere between thrifty and frugal in living within our means. That said, our M.O. has generally been to buy decent but entry level cookware, understanding that it probably will not last as long as other high-end hardware, but spending $90 to $100 every 5 to 8 years made financial sense for where we were and what was important at that time in our lives. Having reached a point in our lives and given the opportunity to "step-up" to a higher-end set, I can say with absolute certainty, this is an excellent choice. The 35 pound box arrived in great shape. It was with a couple quick seconds and the box was open to a sturdily packed set that while sturdy and protective but didnt "ooze" in seemingly unnecessary packing Styrofoam or overabundance of cardboard.. Unpacking was great. Everything removed with ease and the feel of the cookware was noticeably more "substantial" than our previously mentioned mid-level cookware. All of the pieces felt high quality, construction was high quality and the stacking feature was positive and strong. My wife is a fantastic cook. She was eager to put these through their paces and I can assure you, she (we) were NOT disappointed, They cook evenly, clean up easy and are remarkably versatile. From the stove-top, to the oven (up to 450 degrees), to the dishwasher to the easy stack of the space-saving cupboard. We looked for an area of improvement and honestly, we really could find none. I suppose for even more space saving, they could have the European style universal removable / multi- use handle, but there is something to admit the substantial feel of the permanently attached stainless steel handles balanced against the tripple layered anodized aluminum offer a satisfying tactile pride of ownership. In all, I can easily recommend to a friend and would be happy to have a second set for our RV. They are just that good. Disclaimer: This product was provided free, or at reduced cost, for the purpose of reviewing the product. Nevertheless, the above review, be it positive, negative, or anywhere in-between, is a 100% honest review, and the price paid played absolutely no part in my review.

    Clutter Free High-Quality Cookware

Most cookware sets these days tend to have some stacking mechanism that kind of works. This cookware set has it thoughtfully engineered directly into the design which is more functional than elegant, but beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Things I Like - The ability to stack without the bottoms of the pans rubbing the inside of the pot or pan beneath. There are clever notches cut out on the handles that support and allow the pans to nest inside one another. The dip and notch come together to secure the pots, pans, as well as the lids to neatly stack, not only making it easier to organize your cabinet space, but also when pulling one pot or pan, you don’t ruin your whole stacking mechanism. - The build quality of this set is the best I’ve owned. The handles are solid and riveted to the pans. They’re much heavier than my older set which I attribute to ensuring durability and function. - Cooking. I was surprised at how much of a difference high quality cookware cooks compared to budget pots and pans. Hash browns are my go-to breakfast item on Sunday morning. Once my pan and olive oil were up to temperature away I went to crisping up my shredded potato. What was impressive was how evenly they cooked on the bottom and how well the pan held its heat. - Cooking X2. My wife and I really enjoy not having to break out the super heavy cast irons when we want to sear off meat then finish it in the oven. Having oven safe cookware up to 450 degrees is comforting in knowing you don’t have to dirty up extra dishes. We seared off two small portions of steak then finished them in the oven at 400 degrees. They turned out delicious and juicy, with a nice brown sear on the outside. - Non-stick surface. After topping my hash browns with shredded cheese, I didn’t have any issues sliding the finished product onto a plate. Crispy cheese bits and all. When I was done cooking and the pan had cooled, I just wiped the inside out with a damp cloth and let it air dry before putting it away again. Things I didn’t Like - These pans are a bit heavy. Like mentioned earlier, I attribute this to the good build quality of the set. The handles are metal, and the cookware is thicker than my old set. I was used to handling most of my old cookware with one hand, but I’ve been using both hands more often with this set. It’s not a pain point for me but could be for others. - Aesthetics. This isn’t the best-looking set of cookware you’ll come across. Cookware for me is a tool, and if they engineer function over design, that’s perfectly fine with me. I found it easy to ignore the looks after I started cooking with them. - Lids. The lids all have long handles like you would see on a sauté pan opposed to knobs or small rectangle handles you could grip from the top. This design choice is to optimize the ability to stack the lids with the cookware. They are also notched to stack with the pots and pans, but that means you must align them up with the handles on the cookware. It’s a trade off you’ll make if you’re used to just popping the lid off and on again like I’m used to. Final Thoughts – I’m enjoying this set of cookware very much. I’m surprised at how more evenly it cooked compared to some of my older stuff and I’m really enjoying the idea I can safely put it in my oven at 350 degrees without pushing the limits of the build materials. I expect to have these for many years before I see any signs of wear.

Go look under your counter, you know, where you keep your cooking pans, and if you're anything like us, you'll likely see pots and pans and lids and pots and pans and lids strewn all over the place. Let's face it, it's unwieldy, messy, difficult to manage and now, completely unnecessary. Enter the 10 piece Calphalon Premier cook set, which includes a 10" and 8" fry pan, a 2.5 qt and 3.5 qt saucepan, a 3 qt saute pan and a 6 qt Dutch oven, plus 4 flat glass lids to provide cover for all. And all this greatness stacks in the most remarkable way. In a fraction of the space all your other pots and pans take, you can have one simple stack of the best quality cookware out there, with room to spare. Founded in 1963, Calphalon has become synonymous with high end cookware. There's a good chance are you already have Calphalon cookware you've cooked on for years. That's the great thing about Calphalon cookware. It is very durable, it's dishwasher safe and it's made of the highest quality hard-anodized aluminum, three layer non-stick cooking surface and durable stay cool stainless steel handles. There may be other non-stick cookware options you can buy for less money, but few provide the quality and durability you get with Calphalon. If there was one thing I wish Calphalon had done differently, it would have been to add a vent hole in the glass lids. I find that helps minimize spill overs when cooking at high temperatures. Otherwise, there's truly nothing to criticize. While not inexpensive, this set is actually a bargain when you consider all that you get. Having used Calphalon for years, I know we'll be happy with our new stackable Calphalon Premier cook set for years to come.

I just received my Calphalon 10-Piece space-saving cookware. The shipment consisted of the following pans and lids: 8” diameter stack: 8” Fry Pan 2.5 qt Sauce Pan with Cover 3.5qt Sauce Pan with Cover 10” diameter stack: 10” Fry Pan 3qt Saute Pan with Cover 6qt Stock Pot with Cover Both pans and their lids have a very solid construction feel to them, and you know it just as soon as you lift one. Previously owned pans always had a disclaimer and a threat of voiding warranties if you tried to stack the pans on top of each other. We were basically forced to do this anyway due to a lack of storage space in our kitchen. The problem with doing this kind of stacking (placing a pan inside a larger pan) is that it’s the best way to cause damage to the insides and outsides of both pans. The Calphalon pans and lid are different. The handles on both pans and lids are designed to interlock with each other. Note above where I listed the 8” and 10" stacks. Each of the pots and lids in the 8-inch stack can be placed one by one on top of each other creating one tall stack. The same applies to the pots and lids in the 10-inch stack. Each lid is comprised of a metal handle and see-through glass. This alone is an improvement over our older pans lids which were all metal. Now we can keep an eye on what we’re cooking without having to repeatedly take the lid off. Each Calphalon pan we cooked with came up to proper temperature very quickly, and the food cooked evenly even if when the pan was slightly askew on the burner. These pans obviously conduct heat quite well. According to Calphalon: “The durable, hard anodized construction allows for even heating with no hot spots and is dishwasher safe for easy cleanup. The 3-layer nonstick interior is durable enough to withstand metal spatulas, spoons, and whisks”. That’s outstanding considering how many non-stick pans I’ve damaged over the years by using the wrong utensils. Cleanup was very easy. I used some dawn soap, a soft sponge and hot water, and that was it. The non-stick coating helped immensely during cleanup. I haven’t tried searing any meats yet, but I should happen soon and I’m sure will require greater effort to clean. I learned this years ago, but you should never submerge a hot pan in cold water, as doing so can irreversibly warp the pan. Instead, let the pan cool down entirely before washing. We really like this 10-piece Calphalon cookware and feel that it deserves a solid rating of 5 out of 5.

Previously we had a very mismatched set of pots and pans and lids. It was total chaos in our cupboards. I jumped at the chance to give these a try and get our cupboard more organized. Right out of the box you can tell that these are a very solid and serious pieces of cookware. They have a good weight too them (not too heavy) they feel very solid and sturdy in your hand and very well made. Gone are the days of having to re-tighten the handles on your pots or lids because they are coming lose. These all have solid rivets right through them. There isn't a single screw anywhere to be found. I absolutely love the way these all stack together into 2 neat piles. A set of the smaller pots and pans and a set of the larger ones and the lids fit nicely on top. There are even little metal plates with grooves on them to ensure they stay stacked up and wont fall over because all the notches fit together. As far as performance goes, they work perfectly. We have an electric stove and these pans work great. Very even distribution of heat, no hot spots anywhere to be found. The handles stay nice and cool to the touch as well so you don't have to fumble around with potholders (unless you put the pans in the oven) They also do work great in the oven as well (up to 450 degrees) I had no problem searing a steak on the stove and then popping the pan in the oven to finish it off. The best part is that this is truly a nonstick pan, and you can even use metal utensils on it. Food easily slides around and doesn't stick at all. Cleanup is a breeze...they are dishwasher safe, or you can very easily hand wash them as well. Finally, the warranty. Lifetime warranty if anything goes wrong with them (under normal use) and they will replace it for free. You cant beat that! Overall, I am VERY satisfied with this set! I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for some new cookware. I guarantee you wont be disappointed!

Newell brand cookware Whats in the box ———————— * 8" fry pan * 10" fry pan * 2.5 qt. saucepan with lid (8 inch diameter) * 3.5 qt. saucepan with lid (8 inch diameter) * 3 qt. sauté pan with lid (10 Inch Diameter) * 6 qt. stock pot with lid (10 inch diaper) Pros —— 1. Super Strong and Heavy weight and I don’t think you can warp it!! 2. Super nice handles and strong, they will never Come off 3. Good quality non-stick 4. Easy stickability for space saving storage 5. Even heating Cons —— 1. Expensive, but I hope it last a long time. Review ——— I recently replace all my non-stick that I have which were in bad shape and the non-stick coating was coming off. I got this one and could not be happier. The unique shape lets you stack same size. The 8 inch stacks with 8 inch including the lids and the 10 inch stacks on 10 inch. I could reduce much of the clutter by going with this set. I think all manufacturers should use this novel idea!! Also when you stack, the handles kind of lock with each other, this way they do not move. I have not used any metal spatula on this set and although it is advertise that it can withstand any metal spatulas, I won’t use it non-stick. I think it will just destroy it at some point. If you want to make sure your non-stick cookware last longs, just use plastic or wooden ones. Hey btw, they have a lifetime warranty, This is a good buy!!

Absolutely stunning cookware set. These are replacing a mishmash of pots and pans I’ve collected over the past 20 years. These have the weight and look of cast iron, but beautifully distribute heat like the most expensive Parisian copper pans sold at the fanciest boutiques. I’ve only used two of them so far, but they work sooooo much better than the “As seen on TV” miracle pans you find at the wholesale club. Those “miracle pans” will find a new home at Goodwill. My wife LOVES the look of these new pans, and is currently looking for a way to display them stacked, when not in use. Beyond the looks, these cook fantastically, and more importantly, evenly. I have an electric stove, and these pans heated quickly. Cleanup was easy. The nonstick surface cleans up fast, and after a sterilization cycle in the dishwasher, they are ready for the next cooking adventure! I can’t wait to have a large family/friends gathering so I can use more of the pots and pans at a time. I’m usually a one or two pan person. I HIGHLY recommend this set! These are worth their considerable weight in gold.

So this set is great. I have a small kitchen and being able to stack the pots, pans and lids in two stacks works. I have a set of Calphalon that I bought back in 09. I know because that's when Gottschalks went out of business. It was a few months old when they closed my local store. I've loved using these every since. I don't have to worry about the finish flaking off. It is what it is and I can either hand wash them or run them through the dishwasher. I've never had an issue either way. The box states they are dishwasher safe. You can also use them on gas, electric or glass burners and in an oven up to 450 degrees. The other thing I like about the pots/pans is that they get hot quickly and retain the heat. I'm able to heat up food quickly, which works for me. As for this set. I like the glass lids with the long handles. The pot lid with the two stubby handles will most likely need mittens, but hey, no biggie. I have the old glass lid with the handle in the middle and you have to use something to pick it up as it get toasty. The six pan/pot assortment was a good choice. A small simmering pot and fry pan for small individual meals and a large skillet, pot and my favorite 3qt saute pan. The box states that it's safe with metal utensils, but I prefer plastic or wood. Maybe that's why my old set hasn't had any finish issues or maybe they're just that good. I'd recommend these to anyone. I've loved them for the last decade and I don't see that changing in the near future.

From the moment we opened the box, we were impressed by this cookware set. The metal it is constructed from is very thick, so the cooking is even. The heat can be turned up slightly from a normal pan and the surface cooks the same way all the way across. The nonstick surface is very hard and has worked well with both plastic and wooden utensils. They say you can use metal, but we are not risking it if we don't have to. We have cooked from stove top to oven several times and have not had a problem. It is nice to be able to put it right in the oven without worrying about the handles melting! We don't use the stacking ability since I fabricated a hanging rack years ago to keep our cookware organized, but it will surely come in handy when transporting or stacking between cooking and serving. I have seen pictures of people having problems with the coating getting scratched, but it always looks like their pots have been banging together. We'll see how long it lasts without hitting together. At least it isn't a finish that can come off that is poisonous.

Made of Vibranium? Or just as expensive?

All my pots and pans were handed down to me from my mother and probably from her mother so needless to say they were really old. The last time I needed to use one, I looked at how scratched and corroded it was and decided it was time to get some new ones. When I read the description of this Calphalon cookware set I decided that rather than buy some cheap set that would look bad after a few years, I decided to go with the best so it would last me the rest of my life. It seems like these pots are made of Vibranium with Adamantium handles as they are so heavy and sturdy (they could be used to fight an Infinity War). The handles barely get hot so they can be lifted without a pot holder. For such a well made product of course you have to pay more for them as they are expensive but you'll never need to replace them, ever! The set includes an 8" & 10" frying pans, a 2.5 & 3.5 quart sauce pan with glass covers, a 3 quart saute pan with a cover and a 6 quart stock pot with a cover. They stack together to save 30% space. They really look nice in my kitchen and I can finally get rid of my old hand-me-downs.

We have had Calphalon pans for over 30 years and are still using our original, non-stick, set. They don’t look as good as when we purchased them, but they cook as well as day 1. These new non-stick pans are great and certainly a big step up from our current set. I certainly recommend and believe you will have them for many years to come! Very solidly built. Non-stick and according to Calphalon you can use metal utensils on them when cooking. They heat VERY quickly and evenly. Oven safe to 450 degrees. Nice see-thru glass lids Pans/lids are stackable (lids have no handles on top – they are on the side like the handle on a pan would be). Dish washer safe. But washing them by hand is a breeze thanks to the non-stick coating. Full lifetime warranty! Downsides; Heavy – so if you have budding young chefs or are older – these may be a tad heavy/cumbersome to use every day. Lids take a little getting used to Instructions/info are on the box - not in a more savable format like a pamphlet. Great pans and definitely recommend!

It is probably one of the sturdies, strongest (downsize a bit heavy), resistant and of the best quality kitchen sets, I have ever had in my life. With 10 pc you have all sizes to deal with the family needs: quick egg breakfast to a full meal. Great characteristics of this set for me are clear in the outside of the box: able to deal with the use metal utensils on them, resistant to the dishwasher but the two major assets become the big surprise: the way in which you can stack some pots ones over others to finally reduce the storage space they need in the closet. The full 10 pc are now in the same space that use to be occupied previously by multi origins pans casseroles and skillets. Well organized means also, faster and better access to the right need each time. During the two weeks that I have used them they remain anti-adherent, including in some of the most sticky family recipes. Finally, my recognition to the glass lids that complement the pans. Their design allows to see the cooking without the need to lift the lid. An investment that hope stays for long term.

This is the 3rd set of Calphalon pans we've used (though our first through TIN, the other 2 we purchased ourselves). As expected, they are amazing. The biggest perk being the nesting feature/design on the pans and lids. Whereas our older pans took up 2 entire cupboard sections, these fit in a single space. "There's so much room for activities!!!" The heat builds quickly and (more importantly) evenly throughout the surface, and every single piece on them oozes quality and reminds you that this is a top-notch kit. There's no plastic, no design flaws or items that jump out at you screaming "cheap!" or making you think a corner was cut to keep costs down. They are all just great, sturdy, quality pieces. Easily recommendable -- now just to offload my old set to someone!

Great non-stick pans with a super space saving design. First - they take up less room to put away and stack which is great if you are short on space, but what we love is the flat design that allows them to fit like a plate in the dishwasher! Pros: Non-stick works great They cook hot and even / transferring heat more efficiently than our old pans Stack-able with lids! - So less space needed in cabinet for storage Lids fit perfect in dishwasher (only lids I've ever seen do this) Dishwasher safe Handle and construction seems very sturdy, but not too heavy at all Cons: The outer small handle got a bit hot (Note the long main handle was fine and did not get hot) Overall very impressed. Woo-hoo to no more washing lids!

Cookware These pots and pans are great. They replaced a set that we’ve had since marriage and since then a couple have been thrown away. So it’s not a full set. These tho, I like the stacking since you won't be scraping any pieces. There are diagrams to follow and you'll save some space on stacking. The color is nice as well. The non-stick coating makes for easy cleanup. Very high quality construction. One thing I didn't like after washing the lids is that water remained at the bottom edge and couldn't drip off. I forget and water goes on already dry dishes or the floor. Also some of the kids have handles that make for odd griping. Otherwise these are great, feel sturdy and should last a long long time.

This is one of the best sets of cookware I have ever had. The pans are significantly heavier than anything else I own which I thought would be an issue for heating, but they heat up very quickly and that heat is very even across the entire pan ( I have a gas stove for reference). I like the stacking ability so that I don't have to worry about taking up a bunch of space in my tiny apartment kitchen but one small complaint would be it seems that the parts that are supposed to line up for staking are a little off on the lids. Otherwise the cookware has been great. Another point would be that this is one of the easiest to clean sets of cookware I have ever had. Does not matter what I make all I need is a very light wipe with a sponge and everything comes right off. The only part that can be a little bit of a pain is around the rivets that hold on the handles. Otherwise super easy to clean. Overall a very nice set of cookware.

I have long had a mishmash of pots and pans acquired as I needed something, but the consistent factor with these was that they ultimately stopped being effective with chipping non-stick or peeling paint. With the acquisition of my first full cookware set here by Calphalon is a revelation! The metal handles did not get hot in use which was surprising to me - I would have thought they would conduct heat. The pans seemed to heat up faster than the other pans that I had. The non-stick surface seemed even better than I could have imagined - things literally slide off these pans. The really nice feature about this cookware is that it is stackable - something that is important to me having a small kitchen with not much storage space. I'm not sure if this is a novel feature, but it is well executed here with 8 and 10 inch pans that are the right size for the kitchen that I have. I would highly recommend these!

I have to say that I have long been a fan of Calphalon cookware. I have a 6 inch and 10 Inch pan that I've used for many omelets and breakfasts. So an opportunity to own Premier Space Saving 10 PC Nonstick Cookware Set made my day. I was not disappointed in the least. As you can see from the enclosed pictures, they stack beautifully, as advertised. There are notches that align the pans. The lids disapate heat making the handles coolish to the touch. Calphalon claims that this set is dishwasher safe. I have no doubt that is true, but honestly such a premium set deserves a warm water hand washing. This set is a great foundation set. I will be adding more pieces.
