I picked this up in order to build a Plex server. This kit comes with everything needed! It only takes a few minutes to assemble and get running. The Pi 4 has enough power to handle Plex and has no issues streaming 4k media...Love it!

Very buggy as a media server. I have to format and reinstall the media operating system every few months due to crashes. Still can't figure out what is triggering these corruption errors. I have tried multiple software solutions to no avail. Finally gave up and now it collects dust. It performed well when it worked.

The Raspberry PI is highly recommended for anyone (age 8 and up) who wants to learn more about computer operations, and especially for those who like to “tinker.” This is a good starter unit. Here is a link to explain the power of this tiny computer and all the info you need to know. https://www.tomshardware.com/news/raspberry-pi

Great kit. I especially loved that it came with a cooling fan. I upgraded to a 256Gb memory card for all the things i needed to store (using as a file and minecraft server). Easy to assembly (my 7 year old did the assembly).

The kit put together easily. The pi itself works as advertised. I haven't put it through any computationally demanding use cases yet but as a home server I haven't had to reboot it yet after a few weeks.

Very impressed at the ease of setting up, the sd card already has the os loaded on it. I grabbed what I had laying around for a keyboard (Apple) and 2.4 ghz mouse. Connected the keyboard via lightning cable to usb and mouse dongle. Both worked immediately without any hassle. I had a little 5” lcd display from a nintendo classic setup and plugged headphones in the 3.5mm jack. Took about 20 mins from start to finish!

Raspberry Pis are a great Swiss Army knife of computers. Currently have mine set up as a Homebridge to connect my nest thermostat to my apple HomeKit, as well as a VPN/pihole to block ads when I’m at and away from home.
Great way to introduce yourself to Linux and coding if you’re looking to expand your technical knowledge. I’ve used these for multiple projects over the years and highly recommend. The fact that this kit comes with everything you need to get started just makes it that much better.

I've been exploring what can be done with these little computers. Specifically I've been using them to create Media Centers & Music Streamers. This Pi 4 served as the starting point for a Logitech Media Server ( Free Ware ) media server. It integrates with my existing Pi based streamers as well as my one Chromecast Audio streamer. The Kit had everything that was needed including a 32 GB Micro SD card. It all went together smoothly and is now supporting media needs al over our home.

I got the raspberry pi to use as a home assistant server. Putting it together was simple enough and I had no issues following the instructions to get it configured and setup. The included OS was a definite plus as it's easy to just up and get started. I didn't end up keeping it because I decided to switch to a virtual OS but I definitely saw the value while I had it. It would definitely help if you had some prior Linux knowledge but this is a great mini computer setup! The only critique is I wish there was a way to keep lock the box after putting it together. I was always scared of it opening up and stuff tumbling out. A clasp to the cover in place might help.
