Classic horror film. Bit hardcore, but well worth the watch. Not for the squeamish obviously. Arrived on time. Great price. Happy with my purchase.

The best and gnarliest of the Italian cannibal genre in the best presentation to date. This film was ridiculously hard to find for decades but Grindhouse Releasing has saved the day again. I'm glad Best Buy is stocking boutique labels like this and home they expand it to companies like Olive, Code Red, Severin, Arrow, Vinegar Syndrome, etc.

If you can get past the violence and animal cruelty, you’ll find this movie to be a unique experience.

If you're searching this site for this movie then chances are you already know how controversial this movie is and what is in it. This new 3 disc release from grindhouse releasing is great. The picture quality is the best this movie will likely ever have and there are plenty of special features for any curious fans. The packaging with this release is very nice and also includes the soundtrack containing the well known happy sounding theme to the movie. With this you will receive a slipcase with a sturdy thick blu-ray case inside holding both discs with reversable cover art and a nice sized booklet inside telling you all about the movie. You'll also receive the soundtrack in a seperate little sleeve inside the slipcase. It is worth the asking price and I would recommend this to anyone wanting to fully experience this movie.

Fantastic set! If you are a fan of the film, this is the one to get. I like that they included the CD wih Riz Ortolani's score. Also includes hidden Easter eggs with bonus features. The only negative I see is it is missing "The Making-Of Cannibal Holocaust" from the old Grindhouse DVD,

Amazing movie. Not for everyone that's for sure. But if you're into hardcore 70s exploitation flicks, this one's DEFINITELY for you.

This movie is definitely a hard and offensive watch and I am definitely not new to horror. The edition is a must own if you are a fan of the film though.

Cannibal Holocaust is one of the most controversial films ever made. To truly understand it, you need to look at it from an anthropological point of view. In order to do that, you need to at least understand the meaning of ETHNOCENTRISM. ethnocentrism eth·no·cen·trism (ěth'nō-sěn'trĭz'əm) noun The tendency to evaluate other groups according to the values and standards of one's own ethnic group, especially with the conviction that one's own ethnic group is superior to the other groups. For those that have not seen the film. I am not going to spoil anything, but this definition...this very meaning, is so very key. Yes, Cannibal Holocaust has extremely violent and brutal scenes, including the animal violence that so many refer to. It is certainly not an easy watch, or easy to sit through...at all. Then again, it is not intended to be. Cannibal Holocaust was created to make a point. It was filmed to shed light on a dark, ugly part of our society that us as a people do not like nor want to see. All the gore and ferociousness behind Cannibal Holocaust is there for that purpose. We are not meant to enjoy it, at least I hope you are not enjoying it. It is not meant to make us smile and go, "yeah, I want to see more of that!" It is meant to disgust us, heighten those senses, just as the story it tells does. Everybody has different beliefs, and to them, that is how the world and life itself works. To them, they may know nothing else, and even if they do, their culture sometimes helps define who they are and how they see the rest of the world. With that in mind, Cannibal Holocaust portrays that if we judge harshly onto others, how extremely we are judged back. The brilliance behind Cannibal Holocaust is not just the message or bringing ethnocentrism to the general public, it's also that it shows how cyclical it all really is. Does it ever stop? It begs the question: why do we keep going forward with something even if we ourselves know how amoral or immoral it may be? You've heard this phrase before: History repeats itself. This is probably one of the best films ever made for fans of horror flicks, but Cannibal Holocaust broke a major genre boundary: It managed to teach those willing to listen. Cannibal Holocaust is well worth the price of admission for those who dare.

That's right, I contradicted myself. But, if you see this movie, you'll understand exactly what I mean. My wife and I loved this movie! The only negative thing about this film is trying to find something comparable to it. It is an older film, but that didn't make a difference to us. They did a great job of making this look like a real documentary. It'll get to you, in a good and a bad way. My wife and I love realistic disturbing stuff! After watching this, the only things I can recommend or compare it to are Cannibal Ferox or maybe the August Underground series, and I'm still looking! This is a great film and I highly recommend it!
