The grip works fine. Like most other reviews, the battery tray feels flimsy and cheap, but the outside of the grip feels like what you expect from Canon.

I held off on getting this because I wasn't sure it it was worth the investment. I'm so glad that I finally got it. This makes it super comfortable to take portrait shots without holding my camera in an awkward position. Feels like it was built right on the camera.
