Perfect to be able to allow me to use any camera lens with my canon without having to buy expensive ones.

I have a number of EF lenses, so this is essential part of the kit if you buy a Canon R or RP body. I have had zero issues with using my EF lenses on the Canon RP that I bought.

I was worried when I was purchasing the Canon R6 mk ii, that my l series lenses weren’t going to work well with the camera. Long behold, it works flawlessly. Thank you Canon to making this dapter! The only cons are some vingetting between the camera sensor and the lens itself from the dapter. It’s not too much of annoyance. I am worried that overtime, the seal between the camera body and the adapter will not stay sealed, also along with the lenses seal.

Works Flawlessly. Have been using it for 3 years and have no issues with it. It takes every EF lens I throw at it and even tried it with a Laowa Lense made for EF Line. NO issues with connection or functionality. Worth the price to continue to use an assortment of lenses. Here I have a pic of it using the EF 40 mm but I've also used the 50mm 70-200 L, &70-300 from Canon as well as generic zoom adapters. It's so easy to use too.

This Canon EF–EOS R mount adapter works exactly as advertised and then some. Autofocus is fast and accurate, image quality is uncompromised, and all electronic communication between lens and body works perfectly. My EF lenses feel completely native on my EOS R/R5/R6 body—IS, aperture control, and metadata all function flawlessly.
Build quality is excellent and solid, with no play or looseness once mounted. It balances well even with heavier L-series glass and gives me total confidence shooting both photo and video. This adapter made the transition to Canon RF bodies painless and saved me from having to replace a whole lineup of lenses.
If you’re moving to Canon’s mirrorless system and already own EF lenses, this adapter is an absolute must-have. Reliable, well-built, and truly seamless.

It fit perfect, look perfect and work perfect, with Canon, Sigma and Tamron lens for my new EOS R and all work right all the time.
(1/2 month of use, 2 weedings and 6 couple photographic sessions)
Cons:
-The only one thing that I don't like too much is the release lever, it is tiny and sometimes difficult to use, but works well.

I’m always looking for a deal, so when it cane to buying the Canon version or saving a couple bucks to get the knock off, i went with the knock off. Its just a chunck of metal after all, no optics are involved. Should be a no brainer right? Wrong. The one I got worked and communicated with my R6 and all my lenses but the attchment to the camera was just a hair off. The adapter would rock back and forth just slightly. Not a huge deal and my images weren’t affected but not having everything seated tightly gets on your nerves after a while. I used it for a bit before I broke down and got the Canon version which is a nice, tight fit. No more little wobble to deal with and I don’t have to wonder if my mount is getting damaged over time. Spend the extra money and get the brand name here.

The Canon EF-EOS R Lens Mount Adapter is an essential accessory for any Canon user making the leap into the EOS R series. Paired with the EOS RP, this adapter showcases Canon's commitment to providing a smooth transition for photographers, ensuring compatibility and optimal performance.
The adapter's build quality is exceptional, maintaining the robustness and reliability Canon users have come to expect. The seamless integration between the EF lens and EOS R body is a testament to Canon's engineering prowess. The adapter feels secure, and the locking mechanism ensures a snug fit, eliminating any concerns about stability during usage.
One of the standout features is the preservation of autofocus capabilities. The adapter seamlessly allows EF lenses to retain their autofocus functionality on the EOS RP, ensuring a smooth shooting experience. This is a game-changer for those with an existing collection of EF lenses, as it eliminates the need to invest in an entirely new set of glass.
Image quality remains uncompromised through the adapter, with the lens performing as intended on the EOS RP. The adaptability of the EF-EOS R adapter opens up a world of possibilities, allowing photographers to leverage their existing lens investments while enjoying the benefits of Canon's mirrorless technology.
The compact and lightweight design of the adapter complements the portability of the EOS RP. It's a convenient addition to the camera bag, allowing users to switch effortlessly between EF and RF lenses without sacrificing space or convenience.
While the Canon EF-EOS R Lens Mount Adapter may seem like a small accessory, its impact on the overall shooting experience is significant. It's a bridge that connects Canon's rich legacy of EF lenses with the cutting-edge technology of the EOS R series. If you're an EOS RP user or planning to step into the mirrorless realm, this adapter is a must-have for maximizing the potential of your lens collection. Highly recommended for its seamless integration, reliability, and the creative possibilities it unlocks.

Recently I switch to a mirrorless camera Canon R6 Mark ii with my Canon EOS 5D Mark iv. I have different focal length of EF lenses and I didn't purchase any RF lens yet. I am using this mount adapter and I colud perfectly focus and get the same picture quality of each of my lens. I hope before buying a costly RF lens anyone can use their old EF lens with this mount adapter with a confidence.

I purchased a Canon R6 with RF 24mm105mm F4-7.1 kit lens. The lens is okay but it feels kind of flimsy and I'm not completely happy with the result. I purchased the EF-EOS lens mount adapter so I could get some more versatility and use my EF glass, which I feel gets much better results for the type of shooting I do -- primarily live concert photography.
It doesn't have the control ring but that's fine. The main thing is that it ensures your EF glass works as though it were RF glass and doesn't add a ton of weight to the camera. There are two annoying things: In order to change lenses, you have to take off the entire lens with the mount, then take the lens off. Then you have to add the new lens to the mount and put back on the camera. It's not the most efficient thing to do if you're out in the field or on a shoot. Also if you have a lens with infinity focus, that motor whirrs and buzzes endlessly for some reason or another. But you have to really be paying attention or in a quiet environment to really notice it.
Besides that, so far no complaints. It's a good option to continue to use your EF glass that you already spent a ton of money on already.

I primarily shoot interviews and advertisements in higher education using a Canon R6 Mark II, an older Canon 6D, and a professional Panasonic camcorder. I purchased this adapter to use my old Canon EF lenses with the R6 Mark II. Long story short, I absolutely love the new RF 24-105 lens, but I’m particularly fond of my EF 35mm f/2, and it works perfectly with this adapter. It’s also reassuring to know that the IBIS (In-body Image Stabilization) functions seamlessly with EF lenses that have IS. You can further enhance your video quality on the R6 Mark II by switching the movie stabilization to "Enhanced." This adapter is definitely worth the investment, saving me from having to buy all new gear.

A must get if you just got an R-series camera and have lots of EF style glass. Durable, lightweight and quality adapter. Works with lenses several years old on the new mirrorless Canon lineup
