The Canon EF-EOS R adapter is an absolute lifesaver, especially for those looking to upgrade their camera body without the hefty cost of new lenses. It flawlessly connects my existing EF lenses to my EOS R series camera, preserving the image quality superbly. It's a smart investment that has saved me a significant amount of money. If you're planning to upgrade your Canon camera, this adapter is a must-include in your budget. It's reliable, efficient, and ensures a seamless transition to newer camera models. Highly recommended!

Allows us to use our old lenses so we’re happy. The added length isn’t an issue.
This allows us to consider other EF lenses like the zoom lenses that are cheaper than their RF counterparts.

I placed this adapter on my 500mm mkll and attached my r6 and the adaptation began. Great experience, works as described. I couldn’t ask for anything better to combine my new camera to an ef lens. Focus is fast and spot on. This adapter fit both camera and lens perfectly. Canon hit this one out of the park.

I’ve been using this adapter to mount my EF lenses on my EOS R camera, and it works really well. Autofocus is fast and accurate, and image quality doesn’t seem to be affected at all. The build feels solid and secure, so I don’t worry about my lenses.

Paired this with my R10 and it hasn't had a single issue with any of my EFS or EF lenses. Makes the jump to a mirrorless camera from a Rebel or D series way more painless.
It does add about an inch of length to your lens when attached, so longer lenses start looking a little silly, and short pancake lens lose a little of what makes them compact.
Also, EF lenses are much more available and affordable on the used market, so this becomes an amazing asset for quality and savings.

This adapter works great on my Canon R6 Mark II. Having recently converted to mirrorless, I had a nice selection of EF mount lenses that I needed to use. This adapter made that possible with the new camera. No issues communicating between camera and lens and auto focus works perfectly. Highly recommend.

this adapter makes using EF glass on RF sensor mounts easy to swap in the field. solid build quality, secure easy lock, and size makes it ideal to either leave on the camera or lens depending what glass you use most. good value, and since i don’t use/need the control ring on the $300 version, id say it’s a better deal. necessary for anyone moving from EF to RF sensors.

With this adapter my EF lenses work flawlessly. The autofocus is just as fast as they are when mounted to my 80D. Great adapter! I will say, the one downside is not having the control ring. I have gotten quite used to the control ring on my RF lens and find myself missing it when I use my EF lenses.

A must have if you're coming from an EF-mount camera and don't want to have a bunch of useless lenses.
WARNING: Not all EF lenses work 100% with some of the Mirrorless cameras. They will function fine, but some wider lenses will have the inner barrel black in view. Not an issue with the adaptor itself, just a function of adaptation and different sensor sizes.
