good so far, used it some for the holidays but mainly stuck to the 50mm. The real test for it will be on my over seas trip this spring.

I needed a lens so that I could get a good picture of the moon, and this lens was perfect.

With this lens, just maybe! I can zoom in on a tic :)

If you want a quality lens that won’t break the bank, this is a great option. You sacrifice a little by not having image stabilization, but if you’re an amateur or you are using external stabilization like a tripod and wireless shutter, stabilization shouldn’t be much of an issue.

I purchased th lens to be able to get distant shots. It has done wonderful so far!!

This is a great lens, I have been able to get shots that my other lenses weren't able to do.

I purchased this lens with the Canon Rebel and Best Buy gave me an amazing deal that I could not pass up. With the deal in consideration, this lens is a great investment, especially for a video B-camera or for high-risk shooting where you don't want to jeopardize a $1K or more lens. I find the range to be acceptable and it has a decent depth of field. I wish it was a little faster, but I fully understand that if I want speed, I really should pay for it. In the end, it was a great purchase that has served me well!!

Even though the lens does not have an image stabilizer, the clarity can be obtained by using a tripod if you don't have steady hands.
