For a basic lens with no frills, you can't beat this. Great resolution pics which is what you expect from a Canon product.

If you can pick this lens up as a package with the DSLR then it is more than worth it. I use it more than the standard lens.

The lens has performed as expected and is a good value. I have used it at graduations and got photos I never thought I would be able to get based on the seats we sat in.

I wasn't really sure how to rate this lens because I haven't used it much yet, so I put it in the middle. It's a bit heavy for me and hard to hold the camera still, so would be better to use a tripod. My friend has a lens that I think would have been more useful for me and I now wish I had put the money towards that one instead. However I'm sure it's a great lens for someone who has the need.

The 75-300 really gives you a lift when you're at close or long range. Brings objects 10-20 yards away in close for a quality shot or miles away for better detail.

Really enjoy the telephoto lens so things will be closer for a picture when you are not able to get real close

Great wide angle lens in that price ( I bought it at $50 under a offer), so it works great for me...only downside is it doesn't have image stabilization in it

Okay lens for the price if you have a tripod always to use. Otherwise spend up for the higher end model with IS USM
