I got this lens for my wife to use. She used it at a graduation from long distance and some of the pics came out pretty blurry.

Works well with my camera, easy to attach. Could be a bit better with wide angles

It is a little difficult to use it. I thought it was easier, but it is ok.

Just to slow to shoot the action photos I wanted.. Had to return.

I use this lens a lot. Im starting to use it more than my $600.00 EF-S 28-55 lens. It takes great close ups, from a very long distance, they are very clear with great detail. It is lightweight and well made. The resolution and color in the photos is very good. Ive taken some very impressive wildlife shots with this lens. I generally use a tripod or brace the lens against a solid object for long shots and it does just fine. I use it on my Canon EOS Xti. The auto focus or manual focus work equally well. It focuses acurately and quickly on auto focus. You cant beat this telephoto lens for the price and Canon quality. Its a great lens, I love it. It may not be the best one they make, but for my use and budget its awesome. I recommend it to anyone wanting a decent telephoto lens without spending a fortune. It works just fine.

This was a gift for a new photographer. She loved it from start. She was able to get better close ups on the basketball court.

This lens doesn't offer stabilizer. though it is cheaper enough to attract customers. But not recommending to purchase it

Works great just no auto focus, wasn't what expected. Non the less functions as it should.

I have a Canon EOS 60D so I am not sure if it is a compatability issue or not but this lense did not work on my camera. It had extreme difficulty focusing and the picture quality was very disappointing. I have a 35mm - 150mm lense from my old AE1 that I was looking to replace but the old lense far outperforms this lense in all ways.

Unfortunately this was suggested with the camera purchase an is not compatible. As it is past 15 day return window window ( gift) it is not returnable

We use this lens all the time, to help us get up closer when our children are doing their sporting events and school programs. It doesn't even matter if we are at the back row, it helps bring us much closer to get a good to great picture. I am a new user, but find it extremely easy to use. The only issue is getting used to the length of the lens, and can be a little bulky in carrying around your neck. A case is a MUST have

Lens did not fit the camera, nothing in description stated I would need an adapter that cost 100.00.

I would rather buy the lens that covers the wider range and includes the lower range as well.

I originally got this lens for an older canon D60 that I got for around $100. And it worked great with that camera. Then I upgraded earlier to a Canon T2I, and it works flawlessly with that camera too. I can't see how anyone can give this less than 5 stars. It's not as great as a $3,000 lens, but what do people expect? It's easy to use, and works well. The only problem I did have, was I only had this lens when I went to Disneyland with my daughter, and I had to use it when I couldn't use the zoom. (When Disney characters were holding her, I had to back up about 20' before I could take the shot) That's not great. But nobody should expect to be taking pictures that can be taken with a point and shoot or a camera phone with this lens.

This is the basic zoom lens in the canon line. I was very impressed with it. Quiet adjustment and it has an excellent clarity. I shot some players at the rays game from 28 rows above first base and could zoom right in on the left fielders. I'm very happy with this lens.
