Spent many days going back and forth between 7D and T2i and finally made the right choice with 7D. With better build quality, better handling, ultra fast focussing (dual digit-4 processors and 19-point AF), better battery life, more functions at finger tips, this camera is a better value than T2i. The quality of HD movies is excellent. I find it more convinient to shoot movies in Manual mode (M) and manual focussing. 36-month 0% financing made it easy on pocket as well. Overall, excellent value.

This camera takes pictures that would not have been possible with my other cameras. Automatic ISO adjustment is great!

This has just about everything you could want. Awesome picture quality, fast shutter speeds, 23 active auto focus zones and 1080P video.

I did a fair amount of research before deciding to buy this camera. Yes it is expensive. No, it isn't for a novice but I cut my teeth on standard SLRs before digital and have been complaining about the point and shoot digitals for years. My kids are starting with full automatic and getting the best pictures they have ever taken. They are starting a production business and are growing into the camera. With the features, they won't outgrow it. The ability to use apature or speed priority and adjust the ISO rating is great. The movies are clear and the in camera sound is adequate. For someone who can't spring for the 5D and wants a SLR / HD Movie camera, this is a great camera.

The 7D changes everything. From the film "feel" of the 24fps movie recording to full HD recording to 8fps still shooting to a 19-point autofocus system, this camera is unsurpassed for the price. I've seen several 5D users "upgrade" to this camera because of its advanced features (dual processors! yes! soo soooo fast!). Good luck finding one of these available before Christmas. I couldn't believe that Best Buy had it, and when I purchased it, they even cut me a deal on an extra battery!! Great camera. Great purchasing experience. Highly recommend.

This camera was a step up from the Nikon D90. Let me tell you, it is a BIG STEP UP. This is an amazing and takes excellent pictures - even with the stock kit lens.

The reviews that I read are true, camera is heavy, shooting vertical I leave my left hand on the lens to crop the picture and focus it so my right hand is up above pressing the shutter button. my left-hand is holding the lens with enough light the picture turns out excellent, in low light my thumb will be in the light of the flash cutting off the picture, so remember to put your left hand back on the camera body before taking the picture, and turned off the autofocus in low light and focus manually pictures will turn out a lot better.

My only issue with this camera is its use of the Compact Flash I or II. It would be much easier if it used the widely used SD card. Compact Flash is almost impossible to find, even Best Buy doesn't carry them in store (rather ironic considering they sell cameras that use them). Besides that, the quality is amazing and the control is wonderful! I highly suggest this!

This is a great camera for an advanced amateur photographer. The kit lens doesn't work very well though when used in video mode, and may create small audio noise. You won't notice it if you shoot naturally noisy scenes, but in sound-sensitive environments, like music or singing performance, the included lens is hardly a choice. I would recommend buying a body only and a higher quality lens if you are a person who likes to have excellent sound.

This is my second DSLR and I had been researching cameras for awhile. This camera was far and above the best! My brother bought a Sony A65 and it's picture quality and features can't come close to this camera. My other brother bought a Sony Nex5d and it can't come close to this camera either. If you want something that is professional quality that will last you for just about forever, this camera is it!!!!! LOVE IT!!!!!!!

For the price of the Canon EOS 7D you could not have asked for a better camera. The photos are amazing! I use the camera for hobby, but hope to develop some sort of business as well. Wonderful, and pretty easy to use!

What's not to love about this camera. I even like the smaller sensor for the photographs I take. I did have a problem with the IS on the kit lens but Best Buy authorized a complete replacement. I have purchased that same kit lens (28-135) for two other family members and have had no problems with either of those.

If you can't afford the 5D then this is the next best, use it for work and fun. Video and pictures are both great!

Good solid camera for the advanced to professional photographer

Being primarily a Nikon user, this was my first Canon purchase, and after getting used to the differences, this camera is awesome! It takes excellent video and at 21.1megapixels, packs a lot of punch!

I love this camera, and I am still learning with all of the features. I love the fact that this camera is one that you can grow with.

Upgraded from my xti and what a difference. Great value for the kit(actually cheaper than the body alone when I picked it up???) IQ is amazing and AF simply is the best i've seen, beats even the 5dmkii's measly 9pts. All the camera I need - would love full frame but too much$$$ at this time. Highly recommend for anyone trying to get the best crop sensor dslr on the market.

This camera has the ability to shoot 8 fps, The AF mode is like no other and captures the image in a perfect setting almost every shot. Having the benefits of HD video is a big plus also.

There's nothing left to be said that hasn't be said before. Excellent quality, excellent lens, excellent design. Just a phenomenal design that outputs excellent pictures.
