I shoot a 5D MKII at work..........this is such an esay transition and has some features that are superior to the work unit.

have already taken apron 1000 pic and works just great. haven't had chance to try all features yet but will soon.i also have the 40D and it is a marked difference.

just upgraded from t3i to this camera and it's awesome!!!

I purchased this camera just a couple of days ago. I am new to SLR video, this camera has great video but its not easy to adjust the settings for someone new to it, its a great camera and worth the price. The 7D is a great camera with terrific flexibility in AF modes for sports photography. There are also some good online videos at Canon on configuring custom functions. I bought the package at Best Buy with the 28-135 lens. The package doesn't come with a camera body cap or a rear lens cap. I would have expected those to have been included.

Probably the best camera in it's class. Adding full frame would make it perfect.

I got this on sale and it was beyond a steal! Great pictures, learning curve is steep if you've never used a DSLR before but if you have it doesn't take long to get into the swing of things. This is a definite upgrade from the Sony Alpha-330 I had. BIG BIG fan of this camera from the top down! Shutter is a bit louder than my old camera and took some getting used to, but thats probably the only 'negative' I have to say about this camera.

Can't go wrong with this camera. Even better than the 5D in my opinion. Faster burst rate. Buy body only and get lenses on your own. Kit lenses do not do this camera justice. I love my Canon 50mm f1.4, wide angle and fish eye on this camera.

My husband and I just love taking picture. We love this camera!!

I may spend the rest of my life learning 2 utilize all the features in this computerized camera but expect some art to eventually surface.

a pro camera for a moderate price, great features , exelent color process and speed

I took a bunch of pictures at the hockey game and all pictures turns out like a pro. The picture quality is above and beyond!

If you are looking for a DSRL the Canon 7D is the one to buy. The same excellent Canon quality continues.

You don't need to be professional to take quality pictures and hd video. I took some video of a concert, which came out pretty good with high hd quality.

This is an amazing camera with tons of features for the average joe or for a professional photographer. It's easy to use and the quality of the photos is amazing!

I am learning about this new model. I am overall pleased because of the number of options, quality of photos, video, large view screen, and general ease of use. I shoot wildlife, travel photos, and people in natural/real settings (and anything else that catches my eye or interest). This camera is a step up from other models and will please many photographers. Some of the downsides are the steep price, the weight (a little heavy), noise, and sometimes speed. Using image stabilization leses will help when encountering slow processing. I like the camera overall and it is getting lots of use as I learn more about it.

This is a great DSLR for the experienced amateur/semi-professional photographer. It's speed and photo quality are remarkable. It is a great stepping stone between the 50D and the 5D Mark II. Just packed with features! I'm thrilled with my purchase!

Fast, clear shots. Excellent 'feel', great controls...Some auto focus weirdness under artificial light. Overall, very happy and glad I spent more on this and skipped the T2i.
