I love this camera! After many days of reading and reviewing other products, the Canon 80D is the best overall. Great photos, excellent video and ease of use are my top priorities. Save money and buy the Video Creator Kit. That's 150.00 to 250.00 in savings pending on the kit. Also, buy the 50mm EF lens but check prices. I saved by price matching to amazon on many of my excessories by 10.00 to 50.00 on most items.

I'm a hobby photographer and this camera is perfect. It has many options, yet sin't too complicated. I love the contoured grip which causes less hand fatigue. I would definitely recommend this camera.

Great Canon camera and amazing lens. The staff at Sawgrass store was very helpful and helped me to find filters and memory.

Read and watched lots of reviews on the Canon 80D. You wont be disappointed. I'm new to DSLR shooting and yes, any lower end DSLR would've worked fine. But if you want to learn the functions and get the most out of the package, this is what you need to get. Yes, its pricey but the build quality and capabilities are amazing. Do I want to start a vlog like Casey Neistat, probably not. Do I want the option to? Yes. I want to video my 2 year old, capture moments and memories, and yes, any camera will do. Except, this does it better. I see this camera as a Semi-Pro rig, feels great, shoots great, looks great. The lens was designed for this camera. Sure you can buy a kit that has two lenses but why? This lens captures the full range. Did I mention "weather resistance" its just built better than a Rebel. Is it heavy? Sort of. Will it be a pain to carry? Maybe. I also bought the mirrorless version, the new Canon M5, its nice to carry, but doesn't "feel" as nice to shoot, not as easy to compose a shot (because its much smaller)

I bought this camera to use in my photography class. I'm just a beginner who has always used point and shoot cameras, so this is a big step up. It takes wonderful pictures, but it is pretty heavy, so I find that I don't take it out very much.

This camera makes a novice like me come out with pictures and videos like a professional. It is easy to use from the very start but has a lot of capability to be learned and explored. Well worth the cash!!

This Canon camera is a step up from my Canon Rebel T6. There is a lot to learn but I'm having fun checking out all the different features and having the video creator kit makes it easier to zoom in and out while taking video and the Rode microphone helps to eliminate surrounding sounds and helps record the sound in front of your lens. Great step up and I feel more like a professional photographer, I even see professional photographer using this camera. I look forward to learning all the features and taking some awesome photos and videos.

The camera does most everything I want, the images are large and very good. It has an articulating screen (touch screen at that), HDR in camera, multiple exposure, video, has Wi-Fi so you can remotely control most functions with your phone. The biggest disappointment is burst speed is sorely lacking and I labored over to get this with more features vs. the older 7DII. One big (HUGE) problem was there was no signature required for home delivery. I was shocked that it was sitting on the porch around 30 minutes before I got a notice that it had been delivered. I wonder who would be responsible for any theft for something that cost this much.
