Got this camera for traveling. Took stunning photos of the battlefields of Gettysburg. The camera malfunctioned at Sachs bridge, definitely not a routine problem.

So far my experience has been great with this camera! I love the features it has, looking forward to upgrading from the kit lenses but the body is definitely a good buy!

My wife bought this for me for Christmas and was one of the best gifts that she had ever given me. Over the last 5 years or so her give giving has been excellent.

I purchased this camera for my daughter and she loved it. It was easy to use and maneuver her way through the directions.

We have only had Nikon's before, so we are still getting used to it. Most features are great, some a little "clunky". An excellent camera for the money. If we could buy this camera again at this price we would for a gift!

My son loves this camera, takes really great pictures. Awesome that it came with the telephoto lens as well.

Overall, this is a pretty great camera. I used this all over Cuba, and captured some really great shots. Some things I would mention: initially I thought I would love the camera bag that is included. However, I quickly realized that an actual camera bag backpack is a much, much better choice. The camera occasionally felt slow, despite changes in settings. For the same price, I got the Nikon 3400 and felt that it was a better choice. The only weird drawback is that the lens caps on the 3400 seemed a little cheap compared to the Canon. However, the Nikon kit was still the better camera.

My wife is becoming more and more skilled with the SL1. Best Buy taught us before & during the purchase.

I like the auto focus feature. I have not yet had time to explore the more advanced features of the camera.

Great camera! I recommend this camera if you want to start with using a DSLR. Great for beginners.
