    Piece of junk

This is a terrible machine. It is extremely slow, but the main issue is jamming when you copy documents. I bought it specifically to scan my photos, only to find out the auto feeder really doesn't work for that. It jams larger photos and the small ones get stuck (either jammed or stuck under the scanner panel). You can scan multiple photos on the bed, but then you have to separate each photo electronically. I have a 20+ year old flatbed scanner that would separate photos automatically for me. Honestly, I'd rather just have my old Pixma, but they don't keep up with the updates for it anymore. I just threw it out. It looked and worked beautifully, I just couldn't get an updated driver. Such a waste on both products. Oh, my old one also printed much quicker than this one does. I also NEVER had a jam. It is a piece of junk unless you want to use the normal rear feeder and print docs from your computer.

Super easy to set-up. I'm not tech savvy, so setting up any sort of electronic can be intimidating. Canon made the instructions easy to follow so set-up was no problem.

After limited use, the printer seems to work well. The installation/setup was painful. The setup utility never worked (even after disabling my firewall). Specific drivers and utilities had to be downloaded and installed manually. In a few spots the documentation would say to 'click here' to do something, but no link was present. The Wi-Fi connection utility is named completely differently than what the manual states. Contacting the on-line chat support was very helpful, but unfortunately necessary to complete the installation. Not something I'd recommend for non-technical users.
