Not Bad Mirrorless
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Compared to G1X and other mirror less models definitely good camera for value. The picture quality is like very good as entry level DSLR, optical zoon is smooth and good size for grip. however as mirror less camera some programmed shots are missing. (no panorama) Main pro is : image quality, wireless mode for much easier image transfer, easy to use and more... con: no panorama, flash is weak, no lens adapter and interchangeable lens and battery could be larger capacity. great for travel camera without jeopardizing image quality.

Good starter camera and for travel
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It is easy to use and takes good photos with exposure on the money. If it had a larger sensor and a little better optical view finder the camera would be even better.

Great easy to use camera
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very easy to use camera. Wish we got rotating viewer screen. Would recommend to someone who is looking for a great general use camera for high quality pics, but doesn't need long range shooting.

Nice Camera
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I like the features of this camera. I was looking for a camera with the eye view finder and there are not as many cameras with them nowadays. The zoom works well and so does the video. The camera is small enough to fit in a purse if needed. What I'm disappointed with is that Canon no longer includes a hard copy of the instruction manual. You must download it. For me that is not convenient to always go to the computer when I need to research something to operate the camera. If I would have known that before my purchase I may have looked elsewhere.

Great improvement on point and shoot cameras
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had not purchased a point and shoot camera for about 5 years and I am very pleased with the quality of photos from this camera! The telephoto lens is such a terrific bonus. The recovery period between shots seems a bit slow but otherwise I am VERY satisfied with this purchase!

Great camera for beginner

Great images, but easy to use
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really love this camera. I bought it for my father, who is capable of using a DSLR but does not want the bulk or the complexity. He takes a lot of shots of his artwork for submitting to galleries. Also does a lot of flowers in his garden and of subjects to paint. This does a great job of taking very low noise images, and is excellent in low light as well. Does not have a super high pixel count, but that is not a problem, this creates very sharp images, and I would buy this for myself if I could justify the price as a extra camera. I normally shoot Nikon DSLRs and found this easy to use.

excellent point and shoot camera
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.good camera in general. however, Wi-Fi feature is not easy. Ok if you need to view pictures from smart phone or tablets but not easy for computer connection. you have to have separate software (download). Even computer recognized, you can't save all pictures at once. you have to save one by one. it is painful.

Excellent camera, very sturdy
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I haven't had this camera very long yet, but so far am finding it to be very easy to use, while still offering a lot of manual control. Also the metal body makes it very sturdy. I don't feel like I have to be overly careful with it, which is great for photography on trips.

My tag-a-long camera
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this as a camera that I can use when I don't feel like lugging the DSLR around. The feature I loved the most is the wifi. Pairs up nicely with my iPhone thru an app and allows me to get the photos into social media with no problems. Picture quality is great and I love its size. Biggest gripe is the exposure compensation dial. Very easy to accidently turn it. This camera replaced my G9.

Nice HD
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the best point and shot camera in the price range. I was looking at Canon S-110, however reviews indicated lots of battery issues. I canceled the Internet order and changed to this one.

Multiple features & great quality photos
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this camera for underwater photography (in the Canon waterproof case, of course). I was impressed with the quality of the images and have started using this as my, "On land" camera also. There are a lot of features packed into this camera so take the time to read the manual otherwise you will miss out on great features and the opportunity to make good photo opportunities great!!

Great replacement for my old G9
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My old Canon G9 finally died about 6 months ago. I liked this camera very much and was happy to find a similar camera in the newer G16 model. Although I like the new camera very much as well; it is missing a couple of features that I liked on the older model. These being: there is no longer a Sports Mode in the scene settings and there is no longer a Color Swap ability. I miss them both. It is easy to take everywhere, especially when I don't want to use my Canon 60d. Very happy with it so far.

Great Camera!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this camera specifically for my trip to Costa Rica. I was planning to capture action shots of surfers, animals on nature hikes and the beautiful sun sets. I was thoroughly happy with the quality and portability of this camera. Glad I made this purchase.

great camera, takes awile to figure all options.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Opened the package, took out camera. There was no battery in the box ( paid $40+ for it from BestBuy, no USB cable ( used one I had), no software for pc. Takes great pictures , wish there had been missing includes. Otherwise all is good.

Great little camera
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. One of the better point-and-shoot cameras I think. We especially like the view finder--helps when you can't see the digital display because of reflected sunlight.

Great camera with something for everybody.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great camera for a beginner photographer but it also has some features a more experinced photographer can appreciate without breaking the bank. It has decent low-light performance, a hot shoe for a flash (if the pop-up flash just isn't cutting the mustard), and 1080 video. Easy to navigate, compact, easy on the wallet, lightweight. decent autofocus, what's not to love?
