As an amateur photographer I enjoy taking pictures of birds and other wildlife. This lens lets me take high quality shots even though I lack the expertise of more seasoned photographers. The lens is easy to use s as bd meets my needs.

I really like this lense, it’s affordable and does great on my R10. It does struggle in low light when paired to my APS-C sensor, but that was expected. This lense does exactly what it is advertised to. No complaints!

For the price you cant beat this lens. My only gripe is the low light performance is not great but at this price point im very happy with its performance overall.

I bought this lens to get photos of birds and other animals from far away. It's perfect. It's basically an upgraded version of the 100-300 from the older DSLR cameras. Feels great and not too heavy.

Bought this for my R6 and put simply it is the best value telephoto lens for the RF mount. It uses the full range of autofocus points and has very fast focus.

As a photography enthusiast, I have many Canon EF lenses. After I bought the Canon R6 mirrorless camera, I have been using Canon EF-to-R adapter to use my EF lenses.
It works very well. But, when I travel, I found the EF 70-200/4L + EF1.4x extender was kind of heavy and the image stabilizer was not good enough for dark light. So I bought this lens, which are better in those 2 areas.
This lens is not 'L' lens, I did not expect it to outperform my EF700-200/4L+EF1.4x combo. However, I did several real photo tests at 100-300mm range on Canon R6 camera, there was really no practical difference between these 2 set. This is a very good surprise!
The 400mm side could be improved. That's why I only give it 4 stars, not 5.

The price went down so I went ahead and bought one for my RP. The lens is solid and light weight but to my surprise it's long and not compact. It focuses fast and you can override the focusing ring. A couple of negatives were was a hit or miss. Majority of images were soft after experimenting thru different settings, Av, Tv, P modes, changing shutter speeds and aperture settings. Video was sharp. I find I needed to use a high shutter speed to minimize shakiness at the max zoom range although the IS was on. Another concern was that when I zoomed fast there was a lag on the viewfinder. I have a Tamron 18-400 lens and although it's heavier it's almost the same length using the adapter and the pictures are sharper. In the end I returned the lens. I was a bit disappointed because I really wanted a FF lens for the RP but the performance fell short.

this lens is amazing. It has fast focus and is light enough to carry around. I’ve never had a zoom this light. I would definitely recommend it and would purchase it again if need be.
