As a novice I just want to say that I love, love this lens. I am learning to take quality and meaningful photos and have a variety of L lens and Ef lenses. This lens is really good and quite often my go to when doing landscape and some wildlife. Of course L lenses perform better but in my estimation not by much

This is a great lens from Canon. It has great optics, it's fast and lightweight. It gets the job done for wildlife and nature and is not anywhere near as expensive as the 100-500. It's a no-brainer for wildlife.

Great telephoto lense for someone just dabbling in photography. It has features that you would find in more expensive lenses. Great value, under $700. Arrived in a couple of days in perfect condition!

I love the zoom lock feature, which I wish I had on my other zoom lenses. Photos are sharp, even though the lens is a bit slow. Excellent value and compact for such a lens.

I like this lens. Focusing is great, but that may be the R6 focusing. However, it is lightweight. I like photographing birds and it is light enough to carry for extended periods. The 800mm have a long minimum focusing distance and at f11 is best in daytime. And my sigma 150-600 is like carrying a weight around all day, so this is a pleasure to carry around. This helps as I have back issues.

Love my lens to get pictures of my kid's and grandkid's sports.

Not up to the "L" lens, but for the price and everyday pictures, does a nice job. If you are going to continually enlarge your prints to 16x24 and larger, and depending on the subject, you might want to consider the "L" lens.

I order this online and in showed up fast... For the price its a great starter lens the pictures that I zoomed up on look great.. I would suggest this lens to anyone looking...

it’s value RF zoom len, cost less half that other canon 100-400, it’s very fast and sharp, good for day use, for take photo to the Moon, in claw mode convert to 160-640, i recommend that.
