it has been a few years and more years since i first seen caprica on tv .. so by having the dvd now ,, i can pause and see many many more details of scenes in the pilot that you just miss and will never see when watched in real time ,,, and you can just replay scenes you may not understand what is going on .. and the final reason of having the dvd ,, you now follow a lot more of what is the dialogue , the playing out and acting leading into the whole story ..

Cant get enough Battlestar Galactica? then this is the answer

The overall premise for Caprica is great, but the series as a whole sometimes fell short of keeping the story entertaining and moving along. For a sci-fi show it too often fell into a soap opera style of story telling. Recommended... if got at the right price.

Okay so first off this "movie" is really an opening pilot to the new show Caprica. It is the prequel to the show Battle star Galactica which by the way was an AMAZING show. You really have to either watch the BSG series or at LEAST read the synopsis on it to understand Caprica. Caprica ends on a cliff hanger because they want you to WANT to watch the show when starts. Anyway it's a great pilot and hopefully it's going to be a great show.

I love the premise, episode, everything about it. Except for the fact that this is only on DVD for some reason that not even God can identify. If this were on Blu-ray, it would be a 5-Star, but unfortunately for everyone, it is not.

For a BSG fan, it is so nice to have a spin-off. It at least makes us feel a little bit better for missing BSG.

If you liked Battlestar Galactica or are thinking about watching it this is worth the money and the time.

If you are a TRUE Sci Fi junkie like myself, this movie will let you down. The price for this DVD is to high for the quality of movie that you will get. You would think this is action packed but it has story is all over the place and does not have a good sense of continuity. I would not recommend buying this at the price of $24.99. This is more of a $9.99 DVD.
